I Knew I Loved You

The hands of time would lead me to you
An evening star, watched from afar
It guided me here, It knew you'd be here
Now wrapped in moonlight, at last together
Here in the incandescent glow, we are all we need to know
As we softly please each other 'til the stars and shadows glow
Ah
Ohah
It guided me here, It knew you'd be here
I knew I loved you, before I found you
And you had built my world around you
Now all my days, they're now my nights
And my tomorrows will all begin and end with you
Ennio Morricone's song "I Knew I Loved You" speaks of a love that is fated to happen. The song starts with the declaration of the singer, that they knew they loved their partner long before they had even met them. The song talks of the hands of time, which seems to have guided the singer to their soulmate. The imagery of the evening star watching from afar and guiding the singer to their loved one is beautiful and speaks of a cosmic force that has brought them together.
The song then moves on to describe the present, where the singer and their partner are finally together on a moonlit night. The couple is complete in each other's company, and there is no need for anyone else. They please each other softly, and as the stars and shadows glow, they sing their dreams that they share with each other. The song ends with the same words it started with- the singer knew they loved their partner even before they knew them. It speaks of a love that is beyond time and space, a love that was meant to be.
Overall, "I Knew I Loved You" by Ennio Morricone is a deeply romantic and poetic song that celebrates the beauty of love, fate, and destiny. It describes a love that is so powerful that it transcends time, space, and anything else that comes in its way.
