Love
Ennio Morricone Lyrics

Simply because you're near me.
Funny, but when you're near me
I'm in the mood for love.
Heaven is in your eyes
Bright as the stars we're under
Oh! Is it any wonder
Why stop to think of whether
This little dream might fade?
We've put our hearts together
Now we are one, I'm not afraid!
If there's a cloud above
If it should rain we'll let it
But for tonight, forget it!
I'm in the mood for love
Ennio Morricone's song "I'm in the mood for love" is a romantic ballad that expresses the feelings of being in love. The lyrics convey the idea that the persona is filled with emotional intensity and passion just because they are close to the person they love. The phrase "I'm in the mood for love" implies that the persona is so consumed by their feelings that they can't help but be in the mood for love when their loved one is near.
The second stanza emphasizes the persona's fascination with their loved one's ever-shining eyes, which to them are as bright as the stars we're under. The persona wonders if it is a surprise that they are feeling this way. The lyrics suggest that their love has flourished into something so strong that the persona now sees themself as one with their love.
The third stanza further shows the persona's acceptance of love, regardless of any unforeseen circumstance. They say that even during a storm, they would not let it bother them for the time being, and instead, they would just let themselves be engulfed by their present feelings.
Overall, the song is a beautiful representation of the pure and captivating emotions of being in love.
