I don't know. As soon as I hit the desert, I'm thirsty.

 Burns, huh?

They say people with fair skin can't take too much.

Like that, you won't have to carry so much.

 Where are we going?

 Where?

Where I'm going, amigo. Over that way.

Another  one hundred miles of beautiful sunbaked sand.

Even the armies are afraid to march through there.

Sibley's men are retreating up there.
Canby's men are coming here...
...but no one will set foot in this hell...
...except you and me.

One hundred miles, That's a nice walk.

What was it you told me the last time?

"If you save your breath, I feel a man like you could manage it."

And if you won't manage it, you'll die.
Only slowly.
Very slowly, old friend.
After you, please. Start walking.

One of the best bits of music ever done.

Communism Sucks

This almost goes with John Carpenter's The Thing as Ennio Morricone did the score for both films.

I thought John Carpenter did the soundtrack for the thing. I could look it up i suppose

I am 47 and this has been my favourite film since I was 8 years old. Nothing comes close. The directing of Leone. the acting of Wallach and the music by Morricone will never be surpassed imo.

Agreed

I'm 36 and I'm all good with your saying

Peace-Of-Mind

My favorite of whole soundtrack and Eli Wallace was brilliant in this film.

Eastwood and Van Cleef had the looks down perfect and amazing presences in the movie but as far as pure acting is concerned Wallach was definitely the standout.

Eli Wallach is excellent in TGTBTU. Exceptionally memorable as Tuco.
Not the most redeemable character, yet I felt for him.
