God Save The Queen
Enrico Ruggeri Lyrics

A fascist regime,
They made you a moron
A potential H-bomb
God save the Queen,
She ain't no human being,
There is no future
Don't be told what you want
Don't be told what you need.
There's no future
There's no future
No future for you.
God save the Queen,
We mean it man,
We love our queen
God saves.
God save the Queen
'cos tourists are money
And our figurehead
Is not what it seems.
Oh God save history,
God save your mad parade,
Oh Lord God have mercy
All crimes the are paid.
When there's no future
How can there be sin?
We're the flowers
In the dustbin,
We're the poison
In your human machine.
We're the future
We're future.
God save the Queen,
We mean it man,
We love our queen
God saves.
God save the Queen
We mean it man
There is no future
In England's dreaming.
No future,
No future,
No future for you
Enrico Ruggeri's "God Save The Queen" is a punk rock anthem that criticizes the British monarchy and society in the late 1970s. The lyrics speak of a fascist regime that has turned the people into morons, with the potential to become an H-bomb. The song encourages people not to be told what they want or need, as there is no future in England's dreaming. The Queen is portrayed as not being a human being but rather a symbol of tourism and money.
The chorus of "God Save The Queen" is repeated several times throughout the song, with an emphasis on the phrase "We mean it man." The song's final verse speaks of the future, stating that when there is no future, there can be no sin. The flowers in the dustbin and the poison in the human machine represent the punk movement and its rebellion against established societal norms.
