The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Ella Me Dijo Que No
Enrique Bunbury Lyrics

En Enrique Bunbury’s song, “Ella Me Dijo Que No," the lyrics convey a profound sense of disappointment and heartbreak. The first stanza conveys the message that the singer has let down his lover, and he is unable to learn from his mistakes. He compares himself to a strange animal devouring her. The second stanza portrays the destructive nature of love and how it is impossible when there is no hope. The singer is lost, dreaming of being anywhere but here trying to hold on to his sanity.
The third and fourth stanzas are reflections of his lover leaving him. He believed her when she said it was over, but he had a premonition of their separation the night before. The pain he was feeling was even before he could conceive of it intellectually. He is unsure where it all went wrong; they deviated from the path they were supposed to be on.
Overall, the lyrics express a sadness that is relatable to anyone who has been through heartbreak. The singer is grappling with the reality of the situation and the realization that he was not doing well. The lyrics emphasize the futility of trying to learn from mistakes that have already been made.
