The Hop
Eric Lyrics

Way down in a country town one day
A little ole' country band began to play.
They had two guitars and a beat-up saxophone;
When the leader said go them cats began to blow.

[Chorus:]
Ooh wee oh oh,
Ooh la la, let's rock and roll.

Now all the poeple gathered 'round
Just to dig that rockin' rollin' sound.
Suddenly the drummer rang a bell
And all them country cats began to yell.

[Chorus]

Ole' MacDonald did a crazy bop
Said it's time to milk my cow, I got to stop,
But just before I cool it and cut out
Here's something all you cats can think about.

[Chorus]

Snaggle-toothed Malinda was a drag,
She latched onto a dude who showed up stag.
He tried to run and then he tripped and fell;
She kissed him and we all could hear him yell.

[Chorus]

Well, a hound dog ran a polecat into town,
Brought him to the dance and laid him down.
Someone hollered skunk and you can bet
All them country cats is runnin' yet.

[Chorus]

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Eric Clapton's Crazy Country Hop depict a small country town's excitement as they gather to listen to a little ole' country band. With two guitars and a beat-up saxophone, the band is led by the sounds of their leader, who signals when the cats should begin to blow. The townspeople gather to enjoy the rockin' rollin' sound and are swept away by the beat of the music as they dance and lose themselves in the moment. The drummer rings a bell, and everyone yells out in excitement.

The song goes on to describe several comical moments, including Ole' MacDonald doing a crazy bop and announcing that he must stop to milk his cow. The townspeople are then encouraged to think about what they have just witnessed. Another humorous moment involves Malinda, who latches onto a dude who shows up stag. He tries to run, but she catches up to him, and everyone hears him yell. Finally, a hound dog brings a polecat into the dance, causing chaos, as everyone runs away from the smell that follows.

The song is an upbeat and lighthearted tune that perfectly encapsulates the joy and excitement of small-town life during a time when rock and roll was taking the world by storm. It serves as a reminder to enjoy the little things in life, like good music and good company.

The best mask is not any mask, and open up this world, and let people earn a living again!

It is all a SCAMDEMIC, and to give you the death jab.

Stop being sheep to the slaughter.

I went in the bathroom at work and prayed. I meditated in silence for 20 minutes until I heard words. I asked for guidance with clarity. They sent me this message on YouTube.

It made so much of the things I thought were important leave my mind... and prioritize the growth of the soul.

Nothing in this life is real.
The only real thing is your soul.
So do the things that grow your soul and your mission will become clear as when you open your eyes after a meditation session.

It's just different.

Devine rising.

Recently lost my grandma, my family doesn't talk to me. I've been on my own for 6 years and I'm 25 years old. I just went through a breakup and I live 3,000 miles away from anybody that's a blood relative. I felt like giving up tonight, just walking out of my job, getting rid of my house, sacrificing everything because I'm suffering from severe depression and I don't have health insurance and I don't have a therapist... but I turn you on ET and it rewires my mind. I'm just going through the heat, and the pressure, and I've been cut...I'm just becoming a diamond.
