Face to Face Lyrics

All I know is that I'm wrong
I can't wait another day
Make it all just go away
I don't want it today
I don't want to be late
If you knew what I knew
Don't be fooled by what you read
It's not the same as what you see
You're trying to sell me
And it's something for nothing
I don't want to be late
Late by Face to Face is a song about feeling lost and out of place. The lyrics begin with the singer admitting that they don't know where they belong and they feel like they're wrong. This highlights the theme of identity and purpose as the singer appears to be searching for meaning and direction. They go on to express their desire for change, stating that they can't wait another day and they want everything to go away.
The chorus of the song further emphasizes the theme of time and urgency. The singer doesn't want to be late and warns that if others knew what they knew, they wouldn't be willing to wait either. This line adds a sense of mystery to the lyrics and leaves room for interpretation. Perhaps the singer has discovered something important and has a sense of urgency to share it with others. Alternatively, they may be referring to their own personal journey and the need to not miss out on opportunities.
The final verse of the song critiques the idea of selling something for nothing. The singer recognizes that things are not always as they appear and that it's important to be cautious of false promises. This could be interpreted as a commentary on consumerism or societal pressures to conform. Overall, the lyrics of Late by Face to Face offer a reflection on the challenges of navigating life's uncertainties and the importance of staying true to oneself.
