Face to Face Lyrics

It's going to pull me down
You think that I'm invisible
It's going to pull me down
It's somewhere I don't want to go
It's okay
You think I'm indestructible
You think that I'm a miracle
It's going to pull me down
To somewhere I don't want to go
It's okay
I don't know what you want from me
But it's probably already gone
I don't care what you think of me
Your opinion means nothing at all
Don't say I'm okay
I'm not okay
Don't say I'm not trying
Trying to do what's right
Now it's time to walk away
I don't know what you want from me
But it's probably already gone
I don't care what you think of me
Your opinion means nothing at all
Don't say I'm okay
I'm not okay
The lyrics to Face to Face's song A-Ok seem to address the issue of the perception that people have of the singer's invincibility or indestructibility. The song starts with the lines "You think that I'm invincible/It's going to pull me down/You think that I'm invisible/It's going to pull me down." These lines could be interpreted as the singer saying that the expectation to be invincible is actually a burden and could cause them to come crashing down.
The chorus of the song, "Don't say I'm okay/I'm not okay/Don't say I'm not trying/Trying to do what's right/Now it's time to walk away," could be the singer's response to people assuming that everything is okay and that they are trying to do their best. The second verse contains lines such as "I don't care what you think of me/Your opinion means nothing at all," which could be the singer's way of saying that they are tired of pleasing others and care only about their own well-being.
Overall, the lyrics seem to express the feeling of being misunderstood and the pressure that comes with constantly being expected to be perfect. The repeated refrain of "It's okay" could be seen as the singer reassuring themselves that they are allowed to make mistakes and that it's okay to not always have everything together.
