That will be forever in our memories
Memories of everlasting ecstasy
Climbing to the top of the world
As soon as the hour glass
Will run out we′ll fill it up again
Up again till we leave them wondering
How we'll always be the way we are we are we are
And when you lose your way Lose your place
Lost your faith
I′ll carry you back
When you lose your way
Lose your place
Lost your faith
I'll take you back to paradise
And when you lose your way Lose your place
Lost your faith
I'll take you back to paradise
These are the years
That will be forever in our memories
Memories of everlasting ecstasy
Climbing to the top of the world
As soon as the hour glass
Will run out we′ll fill it up again Up again them wondering
How we′ll always be the way we are we are we are
And when you lose your way
Lose your place
Lost your faith
I'll take you back to paradise
I′ll carry you back
When you lose your way
Lose your place
Lost your faith
I'll take you back to paradise
The lyrics to Ferry Corsten's song "Back to Paradise" reflect a sense of nostalgia and a desire to hold onto cherished memories. The opening lines, "These are the years / That will be forever in our memories," establish the theme of the song, suggesting that these moments will leave a lasting impact. The lyrics evoke feelings of joy and bliss, describing the memories as "everlasting ecstasy" and emphasizing the experience of reaching the pinnacle of success, "Climbing to the top of the world."
The repeated lines, "As soon as the hourglass / Will run out we'll fill it up again," convey a sense of determination and the desire to relive and recreate these moments of happiness. The repetition speaks to the idea that even when time runs out, they will find a way to continue the experience. The lyrics also suggest an element of mystery, as they invite others to marvel at their ability to maintain their unique identity, saying, "How we'll always be the way we are we are we are."
The chorus, "And when you lose your way / Lose your place / Lost your faith / I'll take you back to paradise," represents a vow of support and reassurance. In moments of doubt and confusion, the singer promises to guide and uplift the listener, offering to bring them back to a state of paradise. This demonstrates a deep connection between the people involved, where one person serves as a source of solace and comfort for the other.
Overall, "Back to Paradise" captures the essence of treasured memories, the desire to relive positive experiences, and the importance of having someone who can provide support and bring us back to a state of happiness.
