With the release of Serpentine two years later, the band would build on the work they did with Jade, adding a slightly more up tempo, less depressing sound. After the release of Serpentine, Stefanie Duchêne had to leave the band. Her pregnancy was incompatible with the high sights of the band. She is currently working on her solo career. Their current vocalist is Helen Vogt. With a sound similar to that of Serpentine, and Vogt's vocal similarities with Stefanie Duchêne's vocals, the band released their 5th studio album, Razorbliss.
On October 20, 2004, just seven months after the release of "Razorbliss", two founding members of Flowing Tears, Björn Lorson and Cristian Zimmer, died in a car accident.
Exactly 4 years after the accident, on October 20, 2008 they released their sixth studio album, titled Thy Kingdom Gone. It is a concept album containing 12 songs, along with artwork made by Seth Siro Anton, who is known for doing artwork with Moonspell, Soilwork, and Paradise Lost.

Colossal Shaped Despair
Flowing Tears Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Together weave departure.
For all tomorrow's lies,
We never walk alone...
Inhale the world's demise,
The ashes of our martyrs.
Swear alone, forever contemplate,
Don't Leave Alone...
Feel redemption here,
The ones who lead to follow.
The sense of borrowed life,
I never meant to care...
Restrain your world's decline,
The ashes of betrayal.
Take no more, together isolate,
Swear no more, and tolerate the end!
We crossed the borderline,
As ones who take good care.
Before all fortune lies,
Colossal shaped despair.
Don't Leave Alone...
The lyrics of Flowing Tears' song Colossal Shaped Despair convey a feeling of despair and hopelessness, as the singer seems to be trapped in a cycle of departure and betrayal. The phrase "trapped in solemn cries" suggests a feeling of being stuck in a cycle of sadness and mourning, possibly caused by someone leaving or dying. The phrase "together weave departure" implies that the singer is not alone in this feeling, and that others are also experiencing loss and separation. Despite this shared pain, the singer acknowledges that "for all tomorrow's lies, we never walk alone", indicating a sense of resilience and solidarity in the face of adversity.
The second verse continues this theme of loss and mourning, but takes a darker turn as the singer inhales "the world's demise" and references the "ashes of our martyrs". This could be interpreted as a metaphor for the destruction of the environment or the loss of innocent people to war and violence. The phrase "fear no more, and celebrate the end" implies that the singer has given up hope of things ever getting better and instead resigns themselves to the idea of an apocalyptic end.
The third verse seems to shift tone slightly, as the singer implores the listener to "feel redemption here" and to follow those who have "borrowed life". This could suggest a religious or spiritual message encouraging the listener to find hope in a higher power. However, the theme of betrayal and isolation returns in the following lines, as the singer urges the listener to "restrain your world's decline" and to "take no more, together isolate". This could be interpreted as a call to retreat from the world and to protect oneself from further pain and heartache.
Overall, the lyrics of Colossal Shaped Despair are filled with powerful imagery and emotions, conveying a sense of despair and hopelessness in the face of loss and betrayal.
