Stratified Society
Fractured Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The song "Stratified Society" by Fractured speaks about a society that is divided and ignorant. The lyrics suggest that this type of society is unstable and will ultimately collapse due to the creation of a new disease, which will bring the world to its knees. The song highlights the consequences of being void of consequence and how it leads to suffering, as people bring about their plagues upon each other. The singer is terrified and struggles to come to terms with the reality of the world around him.
The song suggests that sometimes people cannot face the facts or the truth, and they get lost in a world of lies. The siren sounds, and it's time to make the country proud. People drop their books and grab their guns, not realizing that they are not the only ones. The bodies hit the ground, and the stratified society has robbed the singer of what used to be. The song concludes with the singer struggling to come to terms with the truth, which sometimes grips him and never lets go.
