After the Beatles stopped touring in 1966, George started writing more songs than could be fitted onto the albums so that by the time of the split he had built up a collection of songs, some used on his debut solo album, All Things Must Pass. The album, released in 1970, contains the two-time number one hit, "My Sweet Lord".
Harrison is also credited for creating music benefits, notably the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh. Harrison played beside Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, and Leon Russell to a crowd of 40,000 in Madison Square Garden, New York. The show raised over $240,000 benefiting the George Harrison Fund for Bangladesh relief.
Harrison went on to release several successful solo albums, and in the late 1980s collaborated with Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty, in a group called Traveling Wilburys. The group released two albums. Later, Harrison reunited with the other two surviving Beatles, after John Lennon's murder in 1980, to produce two final Beatles records, "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love" featuring the voice of Lennon, taken from home demos provided by Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono. The three Beatles also co-wrote a massive autobiography and television special, both titled "The Beatles Anthology."
Before his death, Harrison conceived of a Cirque du Soleil show, "Love," featuring remixes of Beatles music which were overseen by Beatles producer George Martin.
Harrison died on November 29, 2001 after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a wife and son, Olivia and Dhani Harrison. His last album, Brainwashed, was released posthumously and featured the single "Any Road".
A benefit concert in Harrison's memory was played on 29 November 2002 at the Royal Albert Hall. The star-studded event (featuring Eric Clapton and Monty Python, as well as former band mates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr) was released on the DVD double-album, Concert for George.

And the sun melts the chill from our lives
Helping us all to remember what we came here for
This is love
This is la la la la love
This is love
This is la la la la love
May appear from out of the blue
Making fools of everybody who don't understand
This is love
This is la la la la love
This is love
This is la la la la love
This is love, this is love
This is love, this is la la la la love
Since our problems have been our own creation
They also can be overcome
When we use the power provided free to everyone
This is love
This is la la la la love
This is love
This is la la la la love
This is love
This is la la la la love
This is love
This is la la la la love
In George Harrison's song "This Is Love," the lyrics explore ideas of overcoming negativity and the transformative power of love. The opening lines speak to a sense of miscommunication and misunderstanding, but the power of love is able to wash away those negative feelings, allowing everyone to remember why they are there. The repeated refrain, "This is love," emphasizes the importance and all-encompassing nature of this emotion.
The second stanza highlights the idea that even small moments can change a person forever, but it is those who do not understand that are made fools. This speaks to the idea that love is an elusive feeling that not everyone is able to grasp or appreciate fully. The final stanza touches on the idea that problems are made by humans, but they can also be overcome by humans through the power of love. The line "When we use the power provided free to everyone" speaks to the idea that love is an inherent part of the human experience that is available to all.
Overall, the lyrics to "This Is Love" emphasize the importance of love in our lives and the transformative power it can have. The repetition of the refrain and the use of simple language make this song accessible to all and allow its message to resonate with many.

Living Untethered by Micheal Singer: “The moment in front of you is not bothering you. You are bothering yourself about the moment in front of you.” In other words, problems are constructs of the mind. Life just unfolds based on the gazillion bazillion preceding causes that led up to this moment. Life is not a problem, it just is. But you (we) have a problem with life because it doesn't match our mind's demands for how the outside world must be so that we can be okay inside. This is exactly what George is expressing.
