1. Multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Georgia Barnes. Born and raised in a deeply musical household in north west London, Georgia combined music study at London's SOAS with a stint working on the counter at Rough Trade and quickly made a lot of very natural musical connections, being invited to play drums with DIY innovators such as Kwes and Kate Tempest. Georgia herself is a warm, compelling, malleable voice as believable a sensual soul-bearer as she is raucous provocateur.
2. The band Georgia has steadily created a loyal fanbase over the last few years. Comprised of three brothers and a close friend all from the south, they are currently signed with Atlantic Records. They released an EP called the Cabin Sessions Vol. 1, which was recorded live in 2007 while at a log cabin in Blue Ridge, Ga. They have since been working on their first full studio album, recording in LA. More information can be found at www.myspace.com/georgia or www.georgia.sunrise-promotions.com.
3. A trance artist: Georgia is a female DJ / producer from Dutch harbour city Rotterdam. As of March 2008, she has two releases. Her second production 'Ode to '99' was released in March 2008 under the 'Levare Recordings' label.
4. Georgia was the work of Patti Kim (Meowch / Tel Quel) and Five Seventeen (Toys for Elliot / 5MP) who carefully crafted songs with their 4-tracks in separate houses rather than walk the half-block to each others houses.
5. Also a South African artist (or group).
6. Georgia, real name Gordy Deems, was a lead / rhythm guitarist in the 80s AOR band, Rage n’ Rox.

Georgia Lyrics

I took the moment and reflected in it (hah)
My highest shining point
Is always moving up towards new beginnings
Scared of reaching my peak, so
Gotta keep going, growing
Until I meet the end
Remember how to let go
Take time to feed my soul
Let myself breathe again
In my own personal space
I'm taking on a solstice
I rise and fall it's written in the stars
It doesn't mean I'm over
Just because I'm colder
Put in the work to warm back up my heart
In the first verse, the lyrics express a sense of personal growth and self-reflection. The artist acknowledges experiencing a low point in their life, but instead of letting it define them, they choose to reflect on it and use it as a stepping stone. The line "My highest shining point is always moving up towards new beginnings" suggests that they have learned from their past and are constantly striving for self-improvement.
The second verse conveys a fear of reaching one's peak or ultimate potential. The artist acknowledges this fear but also recognizes the need to continue progressing and growing until they reach the end. This can be interpreted as a metaphor for the artist's journey and pursuit of success, where they are hesitant to become complacent and want to keep striving for more.
The chorus emphasizes the importance of letting go and taking care of one's well-being. The artist acknowledges the need to give themselves time to heal, nourish their soul, and allow themselves to breathe. This can be seen as a reminder to prioritize self-care and find balance amidst the challenges and pressures of life.
In the final verse, the lyrics create an image of the artist finding solace and peace in their own personal space. The mention of a solstice symbolizes change and transformation, reflecting the artist's growth and evolution. The line "I rise and fall, it's written in the stars" suggests that the artist acknowledges the natural ups and downs of life and embraces them as part of their journey.
The closing lines suggest that the artist may appear distant or emotionally cold at times, but it shouldn't be mistaken for being "over" or devoid of warmth. Instead, they imply that the artist is actively working on rekindling their warmth and passion by putting in the necessary effort. This can be interpreted as a metaphor for rebuilding emotional resilience and finding the strength to love again after experiencing hardship or heartbreak.
