1. Multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Georgia Barnes. Born and raised in a deeply musical household in north west London, Georgia combined music study at London's SOAS with a stint working on the counter at Rough Trade and quickly made a lot of very natural musical connections, being invited to play drums with DIY innovators such as Kwes and Kate Tempest. Georgia herself is a warm, compelling, malleable voice as believable a sensual soul-bearer as she is raucous provocateur.
2. The band Georgia has steadily created a loyal fanbase over the last few years. Comprised of three brothers and a close friend all from the south, they are currently signed with Atlantic Records. They released an EP called the Cabin Sessions Vol. 1, which was recorded live in 2007 while at a log cabin in Blue Ridge, Ga. They have since been working on their first full studio album, recording in LA. More information can be found at www.myspace.com/georgia or www.georgia.sunrise-promotions.com.
3. A trance artist: Georgia is a female DJ / producer from Dutch harbour city Rotterdam. As of March 2008, she has two releases. Her first production was a track called 'We Rise', co-produced with 'Stimulator'. This was released in December 2007 along with a dub mix by her from the 'Flashover Recordings' label. Her second production 'Ode to '99' was released in March 2008 under the 'Levare Recordings' label.
4. Georgia was the work of Patti Kim (Meowch / Tel Quel) and Five Seventeen (Toys for Elliot / 5MP) who carefully crafted songs with their 4-tracks in separate houses rather than walk the half-block to each others houses.
5. Also a South African artist (or group).
6. Georgia, real name Gordy Deems, was a lead / rhythm guitarist in the 80s AOR band, Rage n’ Rox.

I said give me some time
I'll have you laughin' and fallin' in love
'Til you tell the whole world that you're mine, yeah
I know it don't make sense
That a girl like you
With all of your beautiful, all of your wonder
Would ever end up with a hard-headed fool
Girl I told you
That I'd love you forever
And I'll hold you
In my arms, and I'll never let go
I'll be standin' there, girl, when you need me
Every mornin' you'll wake up and see
I do what I say, and I say what I mean
One day we'll look back, and girl
I'm gon' say that I told you, yeah
I said our shadow
Would look good on my wall
I said your clothes would look better, girl
If they were scattered all up and down my hall, yeah
And it took a lot of tryin' (a whole lot of tryin')
To steal away your heart
But I told you that girl I won't ever give up
If I've got to, I'd steal you the stars
Girl I told you
That I'd love you forever
And I'll hold you
In my arms, and I'll never let go
I'll be standin' there, girl, when you need me
Every mornin' you'll wake up and see
I do what I say, and I say what I mean
One day we'll look back, and girl
I'm gon' say that I told you, yeah
I think you know when we get to heaven
Walk down streets of gold
We'll still be singin' and dancin' and lovin'
It's gon' be your hand that I hold
Girl I told you (yeah, girl I told you)
That I'd love you forever
And I'll hold you (yeah, girl I'll hold you)
In my arms, and I'll never let go (never let go)
I'll be standin' there girl when you need me (right when you need me)
Every mornin' you'll wake up and see (wake up and see)
I do what I say, and I say what I mean
One day we'll look back, and girl
I'm gon' say that I told you
Yeah, girl I told you (yeah, girl I told you)
Girl I told you
Yeah, girl I told you
Yeah, oh
The song "You" by Georgia is a declaration of love and commitment from the singer to her partner. The lyrics are honest and heartfelt, with Georgia promising to love her partner forever and never let go. She acknowledges that it may not make sense for someone as wonderful as her partner to be with a "hard-headed fool" like herself, but she is determined to make the relationship work.
Throughout the song, Georgia uses vivid imagery to express her love. For example, she says that their shadow would look good on her wall, and that her partner's clothes would look better scattered all over her hall. She also references the idea of them being together in heaven, walking down streets of gold and holding hands.
The overall message of this song is one of commitment and devotion. Georgia is imploring her partner to trust her and believe that she will always be there for them, no matter what. It's a beautiful and relatable sentiment that will resonate with many listeners.

My beloved mother is 89 and has Alzheimer's. Every time I play this for her, she says, "why does he keep calling me?"
Other times when he says her name, Georgia, she says "yes yes yes. Here I am".
Today she's whispering, "this is for me, isn't it.... Shhhhh". She's smiling and blushing as we play this 4 more tines. 🤗💖
