Globus is a colossal band creating a blend of dramatic & cinematic music fused with classic rock & pop, amongst other elements.
Globus preformed a live concert in Santa Monica, California, on June 27th. Trailer Music Live, included Globus songs, and Immediate songs. More info can be found here: www.trailermusiclive.com
The core of Globus is essentially a classic rock band, fronted by 24 year old Surrey based Dann Pursey, and featuring Skunk Anansie and Feeder drummer Mark Richardson and Manic Street Preachers’ keyboardist Nick Naysmith.
Globus performed a hugely successful ‘test’ concert last summer at Wembley. As one of the production managers said, “We’ve done rock bands, we’ve done orchestras, we’ve done choirs….but this was the first time that we’d ever had them all in one enormous show!” A TV special and DVD that captured that incredible show is in the works.
Globus has full-length releases on Imperativa Records.

Doomsday
Globus Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Ultra tuum praesidium, consumimur igni plebis victis
You wake up believing this day will end by evening
It's taken for granted that seeds of life are planted
But nothing prepares you for nature's acts of virtue
It's Doomsday, ascending, the world you know is ending
With the power of creation
We will end in a fiery rage
Cantus immortale regnum
In aeterna prosae, infinitum
Luce, ressurectum!
Regnum
In aeterna prosae, infinitum
Luce, ressurectum!
Santcus infuriate, malus
Perenisus, quisere amo anti teus
Cruce, prosae mortis!
Excrucio, natura fieri mortis
These last days, our death throes, the ultimate inferno
No hope for survival, this Doomsday is our final sight
Dark and grim, your fate will begin
In the fire and the pain, God will reign on this Doomsday
Gladius! in evertimitum, gloria! in excruciatus
Radio! vera sentimenti, termino! ab infuriate
Solvo rei! qui a serpentinus, maxime! amo anti teus
Malus perenisus, cruce invocale
Morte hossana, prosae fortuna!
Mystre! morte! sancte per dei!
The lyrics of Globus's song Doomsday paint a picture of the end of the world, a catastrophic event that will bring destruction and death to everything and everyone. The song starts with the Latin phrase "Lex lata, pulvis et umbra cinis," which means "Law, dust, shadow, and ash." This is a grim reminder of the fate that awaits us all, as we are consumed by the flames of Doomsday. The chorus of the song is a warning that the end is near, and that we should prepare for the worst. It describes how the seas will rise and the mountains will stir, unleashing the power of creation and ending our existence in a fiery rage.
The second verse of Doomsday speaks to the inevitability of our fate. The lyrics suggest that we go about our daily lives believing that we have all the time in the world, that the seeds of life will continue to be planted, but that we are never truly prepared for nature's acts of virtue, for the sudden and catastrophic events that can occur. The bridge of the song is a call to arms, urging us to face our fate with dignity and strength, to accept the finality of our Doomsday, and to go out with honor, even in the face of the ultimate inferno.

"It's taken for granted that seeds of life are planted" I love that lyric. Combined with "A day will come when we have no more lives to squander" in One Truth... Globus were laying down some powerful stuff back in 2011.
