1. Gratitude is a rock band from San Francisco, California. They were formed in 2003 by former onelinedrawing and Far alum Jonah Matranga and guitarist Mark Weinberg (originally of the band Crumb). Other members included guitarist Jeremy Tappero and bassist Bob Lindsey. Drummer David Jarnstrom joined the band before the release of their self-titled debut album (session musicians fulfilled the drum role during the recording of the album). Atlantic Records released Gratitude on March 8, 2005. The tracks Drive Away and This Is The Part, were released as singles and received significant radio play both in the US and the UK. Gratitude's first tour for the album was a North American tour supporting Jimmy Eat World (whom the band has often been compared to), and they were also on the bill for the 2005 Warped Tour.
The band faced many difficulties after their album's release - the commercial response was somewhat poor, and Weinberg left the band in June for personal reasons, thus forcing Gratitude to continue touring as a four-piece. Many show cancellations throughout the second half of 2005 and rumours of the band being dropped by Atlantic put the future of the band at stake. Eventually Gratitude released a statement on November 25 claiming that they had in fact decided to split after playing one final show at the Ascot Room in Minneapolis two days earlier.
The members of Gratitude have now gone onto to various things, with frontman Jonah Matranga continuing with his solo work and the recently-reformed band Far. Members, Jeremy Tappero & David Jarnstrom have returned to their other band, Minneapolis rockers, Attention:.
2. Gratitude is also the name of a up and coming Hardcore/Progressive band from Kingston-Upon-Hull in the UK.

Dream Again
Gratitude Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I cant hear it for all my fears
I'm too busy praying wishing for what I should
Do or say to get my way
Oh maybe well never know
Were on our way
Its never done all of the joy and pain [Repeat: x2]
The windows shuttered the big day never comes
The gift is giving what comes with it
Celebrate the birth at any age
Eat up grow up shut up measure up
Were on our way
Its never done all of the joy and pain [Repeat: x2]
Dream again
Were on our way
Its never done all of the joy and pain
Dream again
The song Dream Again by Gratitude is a call for positivity and optimism in the face of uncertainty and fear. The opening lyrics, "She's always saying maybe we'll never know, I can't hear it for all my fears," reflect the doubts and anxieties that many people feel when faced with difficult decisions or uncertain futures. However, the singer acknowledges that constantly worrying and praying for a specific outcome may not be the best approach, as "maybe we'll never know." Instead, the song encourages listeners to focus on the journey rather than the destination, celebrating both the joy and pain that come with it.
The lines "The windows shuttered the big day never comes, the gift is giving what comes with it" suggest that success and happiness are not necessarily tied to achieving a specific goal, but rather to the process of giving and sharing with others. The idea of celebrating "the birth at any age" reinforces this message, emphasizing that it's never too late to pursue one's dreams or find meaning in life. The repeated refrain of "Dream again" serves as a reminder to keep pushing forward, even in the face of setbacks or disappointments.
