The band debuted in 1996 with the record, Por Puro Amor, which sold over a million copies. The album featured singles such as "Vete", "Quiero", and "Te Aprovechas." Other subsequent albums were successful.
In 2000, they teamed up with AB Quintanilla (of Selena and Kumbia Kingz fame) which resulted in the 2001 release "Soy Así", with "Ay! Papacito (Uy! Daddy)" released as the lead single, they reached a bigger and broader audience managing to break through within the U.S. Latin radio and Spanish Speaking TV music channels and garnering a substantial amount of radio airplay.
The band's sound by then, it was less focussed in the Norteño aspect and more emphasis on merging more US Latin American influences like tropical, urban, and Latin Pop.
In 2002, Alicia Villareal's profile had become so big in México, that she decided to part ways with Límite few months into the promotion of "Soy Así", and backed up by a multi-national Record Company and in the middle of various gossip-fodder-scandals she released her debut album in 2002, to a considerable amount of success. Within a couple of years, Villarreal's success would decline, while simultaneously Límite tried their hand at continuing playing with several different vocalists, both female and male.

Desde que tute fuiste
Y yo sigo aferrada
A tu recuerdo
Pues no alcanzo a comprender
Que ya mio no seras
Y de este amor que yo te tengo
Hoy me tenga que olvidar
De tu amor
Lo confieso lo he intentado
Irme a dormir y no soñarte
Despertarme y no acordarme
Mas de ti
Pero no, no es tan facil
Olvidarme de tus besos
Pero no, no es tan facil
Olvidarme de tu amor
Que ya mio no seras
Y de este amor que yo te tengo
Hoy me tenga que olvidar
Hoy me tenga que olvidar
De tu amor
Lo confieso lo he intentado
Irme a dormir y no soñarte
Despertarme y no acordarme
Mas de ti
Pero no, no es tan facil
Olvidarme de tus besos
Pero no, no es tan facil
Olvidarme de tu amor
Olvidarme de tu amor
The song “No Es Tan Fácil” by the Mexican group Grupo Limite centers around the singer's struggle to move on from a past relationship. The lyrics express their difficulty in forgetting their former lover and their love. The singer admits to trying to forget their ex-partner, but they find it impossible because of their strong feelings. The song’s theme of heartache is relatable to anyone who has struggled to let go of someone they loved deeply.
In the first verse, the singer expresses their struggle to let go of their memories of the past relationship. They can’t comprehend that their former partner will no longer be theirs and that they must forget the love they still hold for them. The chorus consistently repeats the theme of the song. The singer confesses to trying to forget, to no avail. They can’t forget the affection they once shared with their ex, and it seems impossible to move on.
The final verse repeats the chorus, and the singer admits that they can’t forget their ex’s love, which makes it difficult for them to move on. The song’s melancholy melody accompanies the lyrics, emphasizing the bittersweet reality of the singer's struggle. Overall, the song is an emotional ballad highlighting that sometimes it's hard to forget someone we loved deeply.

Hace pasado ya un tiempo
It has been quite some time since you left
Desde que tute fuiste
Since the day you left me
Y yo sigo aferrada
I still hold on
A tu recuerdo
To the memories of you
Pues no alcanzo a comprender
I cannot understand
Que ya mio no seras
That you will no longer be mine
Y de este amor que yo te tengo
And this love that I have for you
Hoy me tenga que olvidar
Today, I must forget about it
Hoy me tenga que olvidar
Today, I must forget about it
De tu amor
Of your love
Lo confieso lo he intentado
I confess I've tried
Irme a dormir y no soñarte
To go to sleep and not dream of you
Despertarme y no acordarme
To wake up and not remember you
Mas de ti
But I can't
Pero no, no es tan facil
But no, it's not that easy
Olvidarme de tus besos
To forget your kisses
Pero no, no es tan facil
