"Grow Into love" didn't make it into the album, but on April 07th 2020, after the world had been experiencing a long time of quarentine due to the COVID-19, the band released a video for the song on their social media, on which each member played it in their own homes. The song was well received among the fans, and many asked for an official release. Luckily, they had an official recording for the track, and on May 05th it had its official release.
The lyrics “I, I do not know if I could just grow into love with you” were written by Devon (lead singer), and while on a call with the team involved with the release of the track they spoke about these words. The song has a sense of self-protection in its lyrics, and that assimilates with self-isolation, which is something being lived worldwide right now, so it seemed only right that the track was released when it was.
Grow into love

To have six years behind us in waiting
Not but a shadow remains
Well you took what was left worth taking
This is only begun
I, I do not know if I could just
Grow into love with you
I have to get out of this place
But instead I'm at peace with staying
Are we both come and go as we please
Well I guess that's the game that we're playing
This is only begun
I, I do not know if I could just
Grow into love with you
If you could grow too
I came to my senses alone
In the bed where my eyes was lying
It was there that my thoughts turned to you
Waylaid by the light that was dying
And was backed by the wails of a siren
This is only begun
I, I do not know if I could just
Grow into love with you
If you could grow too
This is only begun
I, I do not know if I could just
Grow into love with you
The lyrics of Half Moon Run's song "Grow into Love" reflect the uncertainty and vulnerability of a relationship that is just beginning. The first verse sets the stage by acknowledging the passage of time and the potential loss of what once was. The line "Not but a shadow remains" suggests the remnants of a relationship that has faded away. However, the chorus offers a glimmer of hope as the singer wonders if they can "Grow into love" with their partner if they both try to do so.
The second verse highlights the internal struggle of the singer as they wrestle with their desire to leave their current situation but also feel content staying. The line "Are we both come and go as we please?" speaks to a lack of commitment and a sense of detachment from the relationship. The third verse brings the focus back to the singer's thoughts and feelings as they lie alone in bed. The imagery of the dying light and the wails of the siren create a sense of unease and impending danger, which could symbolize the potential end of the relationship.
Overall, the lyrics of "Grow into Love" capture the delicate balance of uncertainty and hope that comes with the beginning stages of a relationship. The singer is unsure of what the future holds but is willing to take a chance on growing into love with their partner.

You are so criminally underrated it makes me sick.
@Rach90
Cody Oak Ugh I know, it’s ridiculous 😞
@johnnyhunter
I wouldn't say they're underrated at all. Definitely highly respected in certain circles.
@FabioPintoTalks
They fill some pretty big theatres which i've been to twice. I think it has a lot to do with so many social media outlets nowadays and views get diluted. In time, the views will add up more than they are now :)
@wolflair3329
@@FabioPintoTalks to prove your point I've just discovered them. I agree. Non commercial bands aren't heavily publicised so we have to do the leg work to find them. I guess that's what Indie is all about. I think before people use the word underated they should consider how many good bands they themselves haven't heard of yet. That's the difficulty.
@FabioPintoTalks
@@wolflair3329 For sure. But I get where Cody oak is coming from, we'd expect a few 100k views on this one. Look at their old videos (in the millions). The current 2.7k views doesn't mean ****. :D I've seen these guys playing big shows opening for City and Colour. They're big. And besides, most people just love the music who cares
@ELCobblow
This song has held such deep meaning to me over the years. While listening to it again tonight I am interpreting it as something to be sung to myself instead of sung to someone else
