1) Heavy Load was a heavy metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. Formed in 1976 by the brothers Ragne (vocals and guitar) and Styrbjörn Wahlquist (vocals and drums), together with bassist Michael Backlund.
In 1977 Heavy Load recorded their first album "Full Speed at High Level" (released 1978), now with Dan Molén on the bass.
After their debut, Ex-Highbrow guitarist was added to the lineup as well as Torbjörn Ragnesjö (A cousin of the Wahlquist brothers), replacing Dan Molén. This line-up released the EP "Metal Conquest" and the two full- length albums "Death or Glory" (1982) and "Stronger than Evil" (1983) on their own record label before breaking up. "Stronger than Evil" even featured renowned bass player Phil Lynott on the song "Free". Heavy Load was known in Sweden and also had a following in Japan, but in spite of this they never made any real commercial breakthrough. A last try was made in 1985 with the single "Monsters of the Night", featuring bassist Andreas Fritz, but the band split up shortly after.
In 1987, the Wahlquist Bros. kickstarted the band again and recorded an album together with ex-UFO bassist Paul Gray and guitarist Patrik Karlsson. The album was never released, though. Years later though, a cover of "Run with the Devil" was recorded by another Swedish metal band, Hammerfall, featuring backing vocals by the Wahlquist brothers.
2) Heavyload are Brighton's punk outfit, ambition, fantasy, expectation and desire that fuels the band. But they’re also uniquely, made up of musicians with and without learning disabilities.
Little Lies
Heavy Load Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Can't believe it's true
Can't believe the lies I hear
When they're coming from you
I could have sworn
My life had been torn
I was a dreamer
Those lies you made me swallow
I swallowed every single one
I should have known
You played me a fool
I had the feeling
I sensed it in my soul
And in the end I saw you
I saw you telling me those lies
Your little lies made me wise
Your little lies made me wise
Your little lies made me wise
I could have sworn
I'd heard that before
Those little lies
Won't hurt me anymore
Yes, in the end I made it
I made it clear to everyone
Your little lies made me wise
Your little lies made me wise
Your little lies made me wise
These lyrics depict the feeling of betrayal and mistrust that comes with being lied to. The singer expresses shock and disbelief at the lies they hear, unable to comprehend how someone they trusted could deceive them in such a way. The line "I was a dreamer / How could I be so blind" highlights the singer's vulnerability and naivety, as they were unable to see through the lies they were fed. The repetition of the phrase "Your little lies made me wise" suggests that the singer has learned from their experience, and that while the lies may have hurt them, they have ultimately made them stronger and more aware.
The song's theme of being lied to and learning from the experience is something that many people can relate to, making it a powerful and emotional track. The lyrics are concise and to the point, but convey a wealth of emotion and meaning.

Eddy Malm songs (Hey, Something New, Little Lies) were always my favorite Heavy Load tracks. Beautiful but also sombre.

Very melodic chorus, its truly awe inspiring to say the least. Its unfortunate that such a band remains unnoticed, but I guess it takes a curious ear to pin point hidden gems such as these which I believe it keeps this band alive and well. May this song last for another 3 decades or so.
