1) hide松本秀人(born on December 13,1964 - died on May 2,1998) was the self-titled 【hide】solo project of X JAPAN's lead guitarist. He released his first album, HIDE YOUR FACE (on which he arranged and played most of the instruments), in 1994 to huge success. hide's music generally consisted of heavier, speed-oriented songs and pop efforts, incorporating elements of electronic rock and pop to form a unique blend of sound.

hide's real name was Matsumoto Hideto. hide (pronounced 'hee-deh' ) is simply a shortened form of his first name, Hideto.

When he reached his high school years, he formed the band Saver Tiger (also called as Yokosuka Saver Tiger, not to be confused with Japanese band Saber Tiger). The formation did not last long and they disbanded. In his senior years he completely abandoned music and decided to enter beauty school to become a hair stylist after graduation.

Before that career could take off, Yoshiki gave hide a call, looking to fill one of two guitar positions in his band, X. He mentioned that he had heard hide's amazing skills, and wanted him to join. hide had a while to think about it, and he eventually accepted.

The band was first known as 'X' before being re-named X JAPAN. After years of performing and 4 albums, X JAPAN took a break to focus on each of their solo careers. hide took this opportunity to express himself and became massively successful. What stood out most was his unique voice and guitar riffs, updated appearance, and lyrics that identified themes such as sex, drugs, and violence (notably Hi-Ho and Genkai Haretsu).

Well into his solo career, he collaborated with guitarist Ray McVeigh from The Professionals and bassist Paul Raven of Killing Joke to form the band, zilch, meaning "zero". This band was somewhat successful, releasing albums such as 3,2,1 zilch, and bastardEYES. During his collaboration, his lyrics became more dark and sadistic, the songs were more industrial rock than the alternative rock sound as seen in his solo career.

hide handpicked several members to perform with him during his first two tours: HIDE OUR PSYCHOMMUNITY and PSYENCE A GO GO. After the disbanding of X JAPAN, hide named his live band Spread Beaver, and together their band name was hide with spread beaver in which hide was vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter.

May 2, 1998, Hide was found dead, hanged with a towel tied to a doorknob in his Tokyo Apartment. While authorities deem the guitarist’s death a suicide, several of Hide’s friends and colleagues stated that they believed in an accident, this was supported by the fact that there was no suicide note.

Because of hide's abrupt death post production of their first album, hide with spread beaver and Zilch, had to be done by I.N.A (who was a member of both bands). The tracks appeared how they were intended (except HURRY GO ROUND, which was a combination of several songs) as hide recorded most of the tracks before his death.

His guitars were mostly from the Fernandes MG series.

In the latest song I.V. from X JAPAN, it is reported that unreleased guitar riffs by hide were used so that it would be a 'complete' X JAPAN production.

Also, HIDE (allcaps) is the moniker used by one Hideyuki Takahashi (高橋ひでゆき), one of 菅野よう子's many collaborators, on the songs cream and run rabbit junk.

A previously unfinished song by hide called "Co Gal" (子　ギャル Ko Gyaru?) has been completed by INA utilizing vocaloid technology to mimic the deceased musician's voice. The song was originally written and demoed for Ja, Zoo in 1998, took two years to finish and will be included on an album by Universal Music set to be released on December 10, 2014.

2) HIDE is a Chicago-based multimedia industrial noise project of artists Heather Gabel and Seth Sher, who began a recording career with the 'Resurrection' EP in 2015. Hide have recorded three full-length albums on Dais Records, Castration Anxiety (2018), Hell Is Here (2019) and Interior Terror (2021) alongside several EPs and singles.

About the water proof

I genuinely like this product and I'm very skeptical and don't wear makeup much. It's got the best coverage out of the makeup I've tried that "claim" full-coverage. If I put on the foundation plus the concealer, my skin looks like flawless brown porcelain the likes of which I haven't had since I was nine. There definitely needs to be more shades for women of color, though. The Honey shade worked for me but there's too big of a jump between those brown shades. Seconding your observations about DEFINITELY not shine-proof or transfer-proof!

Yes. It looked good on you😍 I got the concealer in Honey, AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

I believe No makeup or concealer that's liquid will ever be 100% TRANSFER proof... HOWEVER, this concealer did hide my tattoos on both of my hands, it did NOT transfer much at all..it did like very very minimal, after about 15 min....but after I let it sit to dry for another 30 mind & this is without Setting powder or anything, & I actually put on sun gloves and drove in my car, and when I took the gloves off my hands looked pretty & smooth and concealer DID NOT RUB OFF at all😍😍😍 I really like this concealer and it's way better than Dermablend IMHO

I have eczema and the sun on my skin Directly for more than 20 mins with out sun protection make me break out...but I'm also allergic to sunscreen because of the eczema and having sensitive skin🥺. Thus I use Spf protective clothing for long drives, and I have tints in my car

I did buy Hide the concealer & foundation for my daughter. I didn't know she already brought herself the Hide concealer & foundation which was honey. But I got the concealer & foundation in light beige. The reason was that I noticed she was wearing a darker shade of makeup on her face & you could see that her face didn't match her neck. That's the reason why I got the lighter shade. I told her you might think that this shade is too light (and she did) but it fits you perfectly. I told her to try it & she just used the foundation only on her face & now she's one color. The makeup being oil free is a big factor in making my decision. I'll see how it comes out tomorrow when she uses the foundation then the concealer. She said she filled out the questionnaire. Does that say something about the questionnaire or, not enough colors for brown skinned women? I don't know.

You know I also bought the Honey foundation and it is way too dark. Their color matching and online color representations are not good at all. Interesting that the Light Beige worked best for your daughter. Anytime I hear “light” I assume it would be too light.

I think they need to expand the shades. I got lucky with the shade range but the undertone was slightly off. When your daughter took the questionnaire, did it compare the shade to another make up brand or was it just a picture of someone on that shade range? I have bought the wrong foundation a few times because of the picture the site uses or an incorrect shade match quiz.

I have really dark dark blue bags under my eyes always look tired. I tried color Linen foundation then 2 layers concealer. I can not believe it totally covered! I have tried heavy tattoo makeup still showed through. This hide stuff is water based looks majorly natural looking! I live it, it costs more but seriously worth every penny! Love this!

They sent me the wrong shade smh I purchased another shade and basically it transferred soooooo much .. the reason I purchased hide was because they claim no transfer, this foundation is THE WORST!

Thank you! I used Dermablend translucent powder to set my under eyes. I tried the concealer with the Laura mercier translucent powder and it didn’t work well.

@Chyna New they both can hide acne but if you have oily skin I recommend not using a silicon me based primer because it slid right off my face. It has great coverage.
