1) Led by Giulio Calvino (vocals, guitar and formerly of The Candies), who formed the band with Nicola Zenone (bass) and Luca Fontaneto (drums), Hot Gossip are a power trio that are set to stun! Taking the skewed pop mentality of the likes of Brainiac, the furious delivery of the likes of the Blood Brothers and creating an exhilarating sound of their own, encompassed in one perfectly mediocre album âAnglesâ.
Starting out life in the back streets of Milan the band quickly realised they had a collective aim of playing blistering rock n roll and released their debut single âStab Cityâ (Ghost Records) in 2005. Having gained critical acclaim with three short but nonetheles explosive tracks the band toured relentlessly including dates in the UK. The band finally entered La Sauna Recording Studio in Varese, Italy to record their debut âAnglesâ (Ghost Records during 10 freezing days in January 2006.
Bassist Nicola Zenone was replaced by Sergio Maggioni in December 2006.
Angles was licensed to the German label Noisolution (distribution Indigo) for the territories of Germany, Switzerland and Austria and will be released on Ghost Records and distributed by Cargo in U.K in February 2007.

2) Hot Gossip were a British dance troupe most notable for their appearance on the TV series The Kenny Everett Video Show, which aired on ITV in 1978.It was created and choreographed by Arlene Phillips and managed and produced by Michael Summerton and Iain Burton. The sexually suggestive dance routines, moves, gestures and costumes used by the troupe were considered very risquĂŠ, especially considering the early evening timeslot that the Video Show was broadcast in. These risquĂŠ dance routines and the groups unique style were honed by Phillips over four years before The Kenny Everett Video Show first aired, during the groups early years performing in London night clubs.
Hot Gossip also made a couple of pop records, featuring Sarah Brightman on lead vocal. They scored a hit with I Lost My Heart To a Starship Trooper, a lightweight disco track that cashed in on the media hype surrounding the original Star Wars film. They went on to record an album in the early 1980s, Geisha Boys and Temple Girls, produced by the former Human League and then current Heaven 17/BEF member Martyn Ware. The album was a commercial failure.
Phillips, Summerton and Burton continued to work together for eight years during which time Hot Gossip continued to enjoy wide popularity and success.
