Do ya hate this song
'cause I'm singin about it again
Did ya know the words
Before you read them
Did ya notice
She had it and she wants it again
He had it and he lost it again
So many days so many days I guess it's all been done
Maybe it's all been sung
Before By wiser people but its not stopping anyone
Falling apart from heartache
She had it and she wants it again
He had it and he lost it again In the fallout or the aftermath of
So many days so many days
Another second is another made
So many days
The lyrics to Hot Water Music's song "So Many Days" may seem like a simple reflection on lost love and heartache, but they carry a deep message about the cyclical nature of relationships and the perseverance of human emotion. The first few lines seem to speak directly to the listener, questioning their level of investment in the song and the emotions it elicits. The lines "Did ya know the words / Before you read them" and "Did ya notice / She had it and she wants it again / He had it and he lost it again" suggest that the song is about a familiar story: one partner yearning for something lost and the other struggling to move on.
The repeated refrain of "So many days" echoes the idea that this is a cycle that has played out over a long period of time, perhaps even years or decades. Yet the singer seems to acknowledge that this is not a unique story: "I guess it's all been done / Maybe it's all been sung / Before By wiser people but its not stopping anyone." Despite the inevitability of heartache and loss, humans continue to pursue love and connection, driven by a deep need for intimacy and companionship.
Overall, the lyrics to "So Many Days" are a poignant reminder that relationships are complicated and messy, but they are also one of the most fundamental aspects of the human experience. The song encourages listeners to embrace their emotions and to keep pursuing love, no matter how many times they might fall down.
