¡Bestia, bestia!
Nada más llegar has insultado al matón
¡Uh, bestia, bestia!
¡Bestia, bestia!
Pero yo sólo sé decir
Mis dos puños cuidan de mí
The lyrics of Ilegales’ song, Bestia Bestia, feature a narrator who warns about the dangers of the streets and the need to protect oneself. The song opens with a cautionary statement that if one believes the streets will take care of them, they will likely end up with a broken skull on the first corner. The lyrics go on to describe the prevalence of knives on the streets and the possibility of getting stabbed. However, the singer claims to only rely on their own fists for protection.
The song then takes on a storyline about a younger brother who commits a robbery and is unrepentant. The singer describes how the younger brother would rather be neither poor nor rich and relies on their fists to solve problems as they have learned to do. The song ends similarly to how it began, with the singer emphasizing the value of being able to defend oneself with their fists.
Overall, Bestia Bestia is a song that highlights the importance of self-sufficiency in navigating through life's challenges. It suggests that relying on external factors, such as the streets or other people, can be dangerous or even fatal, but having the ability to defend oneself can provide a sense of safety and control.
