2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Days Like These
Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Somehow I knew there would be
Days like these
Somehow I knew there would be
Somehow I knew there would be
Something told me there would be
Days like these
So long ago I told myself
That the time would surely come
I'd have to find a way through
The way that Mama had to do
I never planned for me to be
Bound up and caught up in a lie
But life has taught me what to do
How to turn the tide, get through to you
So listen up to what I'm telling you
It's going to take so much more
Than a text and emoji of the heart
Followed by the flames of a burning fire
Somehow I knew there would be
Days like these
Somehow I knew there would be
Somehow I knew there would be
Days like these
Something told me there would be
Days like these
In the song "Days Like These" by Incognito, the lyrics convey a sense of anticipation and preparation for challenging moments in life. The repeated refrain of "Somehow I knew there would be days like these" suggests a recognition that difficulties are an inevitable part of life's journey. The song explores the idea that the singer had foreseen the need to navigate through tough times, just like their mother had to in the past.
The lyrics also touch upon the theme of personal growth and resilience. The line "I never planned for me to be bound up and caught up in a lie" implies a realization that unexpected circumstances can lead one astray. However, the singer acknowledges that life has been their teacher, showing them how to overcome obstacles and find a way forward. They have learned valuable lessons, giving them the wisdom to "turn the tide" and effectively communicate their thoughts and emotions.
The song also subtly comments on the superficiality of modern communication. The phrase "It's going to take so much more than a text and emoji of the heart" implies that genuine connection and understanding require deeper engagement and effort. It suggests that true communication cannot be reduced to a simple digital gesture or symbol.
Overall, "Days Like These" explores the anticipation of challenges, personal growth, and the importance of meaningful communication in navigating through difficult times.
