2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Keep Me In The Dark
Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've asked you a hundred times
You told me a thousand lies...
You lie awake past midnight.
I don't know what I can say.
I remember when you told me.
I was your only kindred soul.
But now I reminisce on the way we were before.
You be makin' plans I know nothin' about
You – keep me in the dark
No it's not as it was, are you lettin' us go
I really need to know
So don't do this the hard way
I know you're hurting too
But after everything, I need to know the truth
(Need to know the truth)
Cause I have loved you for a lifetime
And maybe many more
If you want the best for me, just give me your honesty
So I can be the one to walk
You be makin' plans I know nothin' about
You – keep me in the dark
No it's not as it was, are you lettin' us go
I really need to know
You be makin' plans I know nothin' about
You – keep me in the dark
If you're turning your back on the promise you made
I really need to know now
You keep me, you keep me
You keep me in the dark
The lyrics to Incognito's song "Keep Me In The Dark" speak of a relationship filled with deception and a desperate need for honesty. The singer has repeatedly asked for the truth but has been met with lies. They acknowledge that their partner is distant even when physically present, reminiscing about a time when they were each other's kindred souls. However, things have changed, and the singer is now left in the dark about their partner's plans and intentions.
The chorus emphasizes the singer's plea for transparency and the fear of their relationship falling apart. They urge their partner not to make things harder by avoiding the truth, acknowledging that both parties are hurting but it's essential to know the truth after everything they've been through. The singer expresses their unwavering love and the hope to continue building a future together, only if their partner can provide the honesty they deserve. The final repetition of being kept in the dark emphasizes the frustration and isolation the singer feels within the relationship.

The simple and natural presentation of this piece is a breath of fresh air. Incognito NEVER gets old, dated or stagnant. Just better and polished. My goodness, how good it is to still have a band like this around producing high quality work. Great music. Period.
@kidwaryodproduction
Agreed with you ❤️ And good news 🙂 This genre still alive and well especially in Italy. David Florio "Have a good Day" and Filippo Perbellini always a good addition to hear 😁
