2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100Β° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Make Me Change My Mind
Incognito Lyrics

Woke up staring at the ceiling
Today will be the day
I'm tired of what I'm feeling
And I feel it everyday
Lost along the way
No amount of reminiscing
Is gonna make me want to stay
It's over, it's over
Gotta keep telling myself that it's over
This time I've got to go
You always find the words
To keep me
You always find a way
To make me change my mind
You always find the words
To keep me
You always find a way
To make me change my mind
You ask me how I'm feeling
As though you didn't know
This game just leaves me reeling
I need for you to let me go
What we had is over
As though the sun forgot that it was day
Some things we can't recover
Like the dreams that fade away
It's over, it's over
Gotta keep telling myself it's over
This time I've got to go
When this night is over
I'll close the door
And I'll be on my way
I'll be on my way
The lyrics of Incognito's song "Make Me Change My Mind" convey a sense of frustration, ambivalence, and determination to move on from a relationship that has lost its spark. The opening lines depict the singer waking up and realizing that today is the day they have decided to make a change. They express weariness and dissatisfaction with their current emotional state, which persists day after day.
The lyrics suggest that something crucial is missing in the relationship, and despite reflecting on past memories, the singer cannot find a reason to stay. They have reached a breaking point and firmly believe that it is time to move on. However, the chorus indicates that the other person has the ability to sway their feelings and decisions. They possess the power to find the right words and ways to make the singer reconsider their choice.
The second verse implies that the other person is aware of the singer's emotional turmoil but continues to play games and keep them hanging on. The singer pleads for their freedom and emphasizes that what they once had is irretrievably lost, similar to dreams that fade away. The repetition of "it's over, it's over" reinforces the singer's need to convince themselves that the relationship has reached its end, and they are determined to leave.
In the final lines, the singer expresses their resolve to close the door on the relationship and move forward with their life. They assert that they will be on their way, indicating a clear intention to sever ties and embrace a new chapter of personal growth and independence.
Overall, "Make Me Change My Mind" paints a picture of someone who has reached a breaking point in a troubled relationship but is still susceptible to the persuasive tactics of the other person. It showcases the internal struggle between the desire to move on and the lingering emotional attachment that can be manipulated by the right words and actions.
