2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

I Come Alive
Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
My feet stompin' in the ground
Music be my healer
Sa du ba du ba du dei
I feel it in my veins
From the rimshot to the bass
For me there is no other, no
I'm headin' midtown
For a shakedown
Right there in the corner
That's where I'm gonna be
I come alive
When the backbeat starts to hit me
Takes me home and feeds my soul
I come alive
And the swing becomes my inspiration
I am revived and my spirit is received
You can say what you want
Ain't nothin' better for the blues
Heaven knows it, baby
Scu ba du ba du dei
See the smile on my face
When I close my eyes and shine
And the world just doesn't matter, no
I come alive
When the backbeat starts to hit me
Takes me home and feeds my soul
I come alive
And the swing becomes my inspiration
I am revived and my spirit is received
The lyrics to Incognito's song "I Come Alive" have an exuberant, celebratory tone that highlights the power of music to lift the spirit and rejuvenate the soul. The singer expresses his desire to let go and surrender to the beat, to let the music be his healer and take him to a place of joy and freedom. He describes the physical sensation of the music in his body, feeling it in his veins and his feet stomping on the ground. For him, there is no other feeling like it, and he can't wait to go to the corner and get his groove on.
As the backbeat starts to hit him, the singer comes alive, feeling the swing and the rhythm become his inspiration as he is revived and his spirit is received. The power of music is so strong that it takes him home and feeds his soul, providing a balm for the blues that nothing else can match. When he closes his eyes and lets the music shine, the world just doesn't matter anymore. The singer's delivery is confident and ecstatic, reflecting the transformative experience that he is having through the music.
Overall, the song celebrates the power of music to transcend the everyday and provide an experience of ecstasy and healing. The lyrics are simple but effective in conveying this message, with a buoyant rhythm that supports the message of joyful surrender to the beat.
