2. Not only this Smooth Jazz band shares same band name, they have a song called "Millenium"(2006) that is exactly same title (intentionally misspelled) as the other Incognito's (Jazz Funk) song on their album "100° and Rising"(1995), plus the logo resembles in font. The title "Every Day"(2006) on the album Street Smarts exactly alike in titles (when read) with the other Incognito's famous tune "Everyday"(1995). They are often tagged totec radio. Also mis-tagged by fans as bluey where there's no link to Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick himself. r00ts & t4lk1n l0ud tags also used, that could mislead fans to the Bluey's famous tunes like "Roots" & "Talkin' Loud".

Reconcile the Pieces
Incognito Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
To the imagination
Let's leave it incomplete
Common attraction
Should take us where we needed to be
We played it on repeat
Mutual affection
Got in the way and made it too hard to see
See horizons on the rolling sea
A vision of what could be
Flowing endlessly
Try forgetting what could have been
There's light above the cloud you're in
Let the dance begin
Reconcile the pieces
Of the life that I once had
Reconcile the pieces
Of a dream that I once lived
Oh reconcile the pieces
Reconcile the pieces
I heard the grapevine whisper
Before you came my way
Whatever you were thinking
I'm glad it led you here to me
You got my whole attention
You're always on my mind
And now we're reconnected
I got it bad, and you're the only one I see
The lyrics of Incognito's song "Reconcile the Pieces" depict a journey of introspection and self-reflection, accompanied by a sense of longing and hope. The song opens with an invitation to embrace the imagination and leave it incomplete, suggesting that the singer is willing to explore new possibilities and unknown paths. The idea of common attraction guiding them to where they need to be implies a shared connection and a sense of destiny.
The lyrics then describe a situation where the singer and their love interest had good intentions but were blinded by mutual affection, making it difficult to see clearly. The mention of horizons on a rolling sea and a vision of what could be portrays a sense of potential and limitless opportunities. The phrase "Try forgetting what could have been, there's light above the cloud you're in" suggests leaving the past behind and embracing a brighter future, urging the listener to let go of regrets and strive for happiness.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the theme of reconciling the pieces, symbolizing the act of piecing together fragments of a fragmented life or dream. There is a sense of longing to bring back what was lost or fractured. The mention of hearing the grapevine whisper and being glad it led the love interest to the singer implies that fate brought them together. The lyrics convey the depth of the singer's interest and obsession with the love interest, creating an intense connection between them.
Overall, "Reconcile the Pieces" explores themes of self-discovery, the pursuit of dreams, and the power of connection and love in overcoming past mistakes and regrets.
