The lyrics of Jaakko Teppo's "Rantaleijona" are set on the sandy beach of Ruikonperä. A group of girls follows the singer, Toivo, as he walks along the beach. Toivo eventually discards his rubber boots and puts on his swimming shorts, leaving the girls to dry their stockings on a nearby pine tree. Toivo shows off his impressive build and stamina by diving into the nearby lake and emerging unfazed. The lyrics go on to describe Toivo's physique, contrasting his impressive physical appearance with his preference for drinking beer.
The second half of the lyrics describe the arrival of Henna Lyytiä-Ryytty, a local beauty. The boys are immediately taken with her, and many express a desire to save her from drowning. However, when the weather turns, Henna covers herself with a raincoat and heads off with Toivo towards Ruikonperä. The lyrics end on a suggestive note, with Toivo forgetting his boots in a tree and Henna's hypnotic sway tempting him despite their supposed destination.
