You Give Me Something
Jamiroquai Lyrics

When I met you, you were so unique
You had a little thing I'd love to keep
And every movement carried much mystique
I knew right then I'd carry on
To you I knew my heart belongs

You know, you, you give me something
Something that nobody else can give
And my heart, started thumpin'
You know now, you're the one I truly know I dig

Like the sunbeams from a perfect summer day
And heaven only seems a step away
When I'm with you, I just celebrate
I'm hoping my message gets through
There's never been someone like you
I had nobody but on you I lean
'Cause you got these little things that I
I know I've never seen

You know now, you, you give me something
Something that nobody else has got
And this love, that I've been wanting
Oh baby, it's turning out to be too fast to stop

You know now, ooh, you give me something
Something that nobody else can give
See my heart has started thumpin'
You know babe, you're the one I truly know I dig

Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something

Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something

You give me something that nobody else can give (ooh well, you give me something)
Ooh well, you give me something
You give me something that nobody else can give (ooh well, you give me something)
Ooh well, you give me something

Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something (ooh ah yeah)
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something
Ooh well, you give me something

Sin duda alguna Jamiroquai es el mejor maravillosos 18 años tenía cuando esa está obra de arte salió

Back Country Pastimes

Proof their music is truly timeless: their songs always sound new and fresh. They never sound outdated. Maybe it’s just my love for jazz-funk, but their sound is so refined and euphoric. People should be playing music like this on the radio, not this shitty modern pop music that all sounds the same. There’s a few things we can all agree on I hope

Amen. You couldn't be more right.

have you ever listened to original funk? it's basically the same but a bit better and... original and not just copied by someone from another culture. same goes for the native american headdresses, nobody allowed them to do it the british-USAmerican way and just whitewash everything

like Jackson's songs. Dangerous album is still Fresh and have modern songs, for an album released in 1991. Who is it and in the closet and remember the time are examples of what i mean

So truly timeless

@Тимофей Анохин I'm not doubting it might have missed accolades, but trust that this music was DEFINITELY popular back when it released. I'm 33 about to be 34. Jamiroquai was everywhere.

The issue is that it was actually considered a watered down product as it was more pop friendly than a lot of the other house/disco/dance music influenced music that was around. So it wasn't alternative enough to gain cred long term in genrephiles repertoire (apart from club friendly DJ's) and didn't make enough of a dent in the mainstream to translate as strongly into the popular consicousness.

Sorry to go bananas on the analysis, i just love discussing music.

This album meant a lot to me. I was living in Vegas doing Blue Man Group. I had lost my will to work and my mind was slipping. I felt my life drooping like a Dali painting with clocks. Then I got this CD from the store. They still had CD stores back then. I don't know if they do anymore, but as soon as I heard songs like this and Love Foolosophy I just felt some kind of positive force go through my soul. This music represented a fresh air to my spirit when it had become deadened through drugs and stultifying Vegas routine. I never saw this video at the time, but it's great. I love the dancers and the roller skaters. Love Jamiroquai.
