The lyrics of Jannat's song "Meen Beyaeesh" express the theme of losing oneself in a relationship and questioning why people allow this to happen. The song starts with the repetition of the question "Who lives beyond their age?" and "Who understands their worth?" implying that it is not common for someone to truly value themselves. The singer addresses their beloved, expressing their concern about wasting a day apart from each other and questioning why this has become the norm. They reminisce about a time when others used to see how strong their bond was and bear witness to their commitment to each other.
The chorus repeats the same questions, emphasizing the theme of losing oneself and questioning why people willingly accept it. The second verse adds more depth to the emotions expressed, as the singer wonders what happened to them after being separated. They recall the pain of missing their beloved and how it felt like an eternity without them. The lyrics convey the longing they feel and how they can't understand why they are silently accepting this situation.
Overall, the song "Meen Beyaeesh" reflects on the tendency of people to lose themselves in relationships and the importance of valuing one's own self-worth. It questions why individuals accept a life where they are not living to their fullest potential and encourages them to reassess their choices.

Who lives longer than his age
Who knows his worth
So, my love, why do we waste a day apart
Why is it that in the past, those who saw us
Would swear on our lives that we belong together
How do we lose ourselves when we agree
If we don't value our souls in this life, what is it worth
Our days pass by, either we live or we die
How can we stay silent
Where have we gone since you and I separated
What has happened to us
I remember your absence as a story of time
See how we are dying from longing
Weren't we once alive, now we're not

How do we lose ourselves when we agree
