Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes

When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
The dream that you wish will come true
A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're feeling small, yeah
Alone in the night you whisper
Thinking no one can hear you at all
You wake with the morning sunlight
To find fortune that is smiling on you
Don't let your heart be filled with sorrow
For all you know, tomorrow
The dream that you wish will come true, ooh, yeah
A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
You wake with the morning sunlight
To find fortune that is smiling on you
Don't let your heart be filled with sorrow
For all you know, tomorrow
The dream that you wish will come true
No matter your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
Ooh, yeah, come true
The song "Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" by Jim Brickman from Disney's "Cinderella" is a lullaby that touches the hearts of anyone who has ever dared to dream. The first verse talks about how a dream is a wish that the heart makes when we are asleep. In dreams, we can escape from our problems and hardships. Dreams give us hope and courage to face the challenges of life. The second verse speaks about how we can feel alone and insignificant while facing the difficulties of life. But the song tells us that even our whispered wishes won't go unheard. The morning sun brings new hope and delivers us from our sorrows. The last verse resonates the hope that our wishes and dreams will come true if we keep believing in them. The song's message is simple, no matter what hardships we face in life, our dreams can keep us going.
The song was originally composed by Mack David, Al Hoffman, and Jerry Livingston for Disney's 1950 film "Cinderella," where it was sung by actress Ilene Woods. Jim Brickman re-recorded the song 50 years later on his album "Disney Songbook." The song has since been covered by various artists, including Disney's Selena Gomez.

This is one of my favorite Disney songs, especially with Kimberley Locke's vocals. The two of you have created a stirring rendition, which I have yet to see duplicated. Thank you for putting it on your channel.
