Gone
Jin Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm sorry don't leave me
I want you here with me
I know that your love is gone
I can't breathe I'm so weak
I know this isn't easy
Don't tell me that your love is gone
That your love is gone

Overall Meaning

In Jin's song Gone, the lyrics convey a sense of desperation and heartbreak as the singer pleads for their lover not to leave them. The opening lines "I'm sorry don't leave me, I want you here with me" set the tone for the rest of the song as the singer acknowledges their mistakes and expresses their desire to salvage the broken relationship. The repetition of "I know that your love is gone" gives the impression that the singer has already lost their lover and is struggling to come to terms with the reality of the situation. The line "I can't breathe, I'm so weak" adds to the sense of emotional turmoil being experienced by the singer.

As the song progresses, the singer seems to become increasingly desperate as they repeatedly ask their lover not to abandon them. The line "Don't tell me that your love is gone" is particularly poignant as the singer seems unable to accept that their lover has moved on. The song ends with the singer once again pleading for their lover not to leave, suggesting that the aching pain of heartbreak is something that they are unwilling to face.

Overall, Jin's Gone is a heartfelt ballad that explores the pain of losing a loved one and the desperation that can accompany it.

Jin's MV "Gone" Hidden Meaning:

Yoojung's blindness and Minseok's heart failure just represents how every love story has it's obstacles. The candies represents Yoojung's dwindling hope and patience. Hence, the jar became one candy emptier each day. Minseok did not die just yet, but that might be the last time he could play piano. Her father didn't allow Minseok to see her knowing that he's living on borrowed time. Because when Minseok's heart finally stops, another breaks. Instead of using words, Minseok used melodies. Minseok wanted to give her one final message through the piano keys. During the cadenza, Minseok was telling everything he loves about her. If it were translated into sentences, it would be "I love you this, your that, and your everything." But Minseok stopped before he reached the coda, the part that translates "I LOVE YOU." Her father played the final part that now translates to "He loves you" that's why she smiled at the end, because she knows that Minseok loves her and that's all that matters. She knew Minseok loves her even though he was "GONE".
