Santiano
Jolly Rogers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

Alright, well gosh i suppose
We should sing something
Yeah no pressure a few people came out
Alright, well
Let's go ahead and start this with
A little traditional Latin flavor
Latino Flavaro! That's Spanish
¡Excritotio! ¡La terea! ¡La biblioteca!
¡Mi láapiz es Camarillo y muy grande!
What? Your "pencil is big and yellow?" OK
Who said "yeah?"
That would probably be my dad
He's here tonight thanks dad alright then

Santiano gained that day away! Santiano!
Santiano gained that day
Along the plains of Mexico!

Mexico, oh Mexico away! Santiano!
Mexico is a place I know
Along the plains of Mexico!

Them Liverpool gals don't use no comb
Away! Santiano!
They comb their hair with a kipper backbone
Along the plains of Mexico!

When I was a young man in my prime
Away! Santiano!
I knocked them scouse girls five at a time
Along the plains of Mexico!

The times is hard and the wage is low
Away! Santiano!
It's time for us to roll and go
Along the plains of Mexico!

That was alright that was alright
Yes thank you!

Weird place to post this, but quite a few years back I had a family member pass away and at her funeral I sang Uncloudy Day, I was like 13 and it probably sounded like a pubescent 13 year old singing into a microphone with no background music but it meant a lot to everyone around. Recently upon the death of another relative I used that song to reflect on everything that has happened and the rest of the album to chipper me back up. Introducing your music to some of my other friends has been a real joy and just know your influence reaches far and wide and I appreciate what you have done and keep doing!

@TheJollyRogers

Do you mean our next live stream? That's an excellent question! We decided to pause our live streams because of a spike in COVID, but are hoping to start those again soon. We don't have a firm idea of what that means, but we'll be doing them as soon as we can!
