We can drive around and see a movie
Every scene will have a meaning
But you'll be the one that moves me
I've been hurt before
So baby promise that you're gonna be true
I'm gonna be be good so tell me that you're gonna be good too
Yeah!
You gotta be be good to me
I'm gonna be be good to you
We'll be happy as can be
Just gotta be be good to me, baby!
I'm gonna treat you right
We'll never fight
Now baby you can trust me
When I hold you tight

I've been hurt before
So baby promise that you're gonna be true oh

In the song "BB Good" by the Jonas Brothers, the singer, who has been hurt in the past, is planning a date with his love interest. He promises to treat her right and never fight with her, and he asks her to promise that she'll be true to him as well. He wants them both to be good to each other so they can be happy together. Throughout the song, the singer emphasizes the importance of trust, communication, and treating each other well in a relationship.
One interpretation of the lyrics is that the singer is asking the girl to be patient with him and not push him away due to his past hurts. He wants to reassure her that he is ready to be in a committed relationship and won't hurt her like he has been hurt before. The line "I'm gonna be be good so tell me that you're gonna be good too" is particularly important, as it shows that he is looking for mutual trust and respect.
Overall, "BB Good" is a song about the importance of treating your significant other well in a relationship. It emphasizes that both partners need to be committed and trustworthy in order for the relationship to be successful.
