Words to The Swan / I Wonder...

I don't know why life's been hard,
on me.
Was,
it some-thing that I said or I done?

I don't know what put me on,
this path.

I,
won-der why there nev-er was an-y love?

Why was ter-ror al-ways on,
my face?
Why could-n't I just play in,
the sun.

Why was my fa-,
ther al-ways,
mad.
Why did he take,
it out on,
me?

Why did'-nt neigh-bors ev-er,
step in?
When,
they could hear all the cries and the screams.

Why are these ques-tions still a part of me?

I won-der...

And pon-der if...

I'll,

ev-er,

know.

After hearing many musicians play this, and ALL very well, THIS version of The Swan is by far the most beautiful I have yet heard..and moves my heart and Soul.. to tears of Joy and Love overflowing. Thank you for your devotion to excellence, and for your profound inspiration. ALOHA from Hawaii Joshua

Have you heard Ray Chen's version?

i’ve always felt the cello just fit this song so much better but this is the one violin interpretation that i actually like as much as i like the cello. this is so good

No one should compare any musician. Each musician has their own way of portraying their feelings through music. Just like how each audience member will experience a different feeling through the musician's playing. The difficulty of a piece shouldn't take part in whether a piece is musical or not. It's the actual musician. And both violinists are very talented. Music is something you can't compare. Ever.

I think it's nice to compare styles--like the Russian-ness of Oistrakh, the sweetness of Bell, etc, but not trying to say who's better, etc. I think this is what you mean, anyway!

StoneTheMason

Thank you for this.

Robinson Fang

Wise words you say.

IplayWithCars

This man certainly has an understanding about the violin, beautiful.

Астрология со Светланой Astrocare

It sounded divine💜

Oh it's beautiful! It's actually a lot harder to play slower pieces but still with all the details perfect. Sometimes to see which musician (especially for strings) is to test them on slow but expressive pieces.
