The boy stepped out his house on to the sidewalk
The boy went out of his house and onto the pavement

And on his way to the spot a man from upstairs
While he was walking to the spot, a man from upstairs called out to him

Told him to stop and come here and he just stared

At this little boy of seven years with brown hair
The man stared at the little boy who was seven and had brown hair

And as he came near the man whispered in his ear
The man came closer and whispered something to him

What he said left him numb frozen with fear
The man's words left him scared and frozen

He tried to block out the pain as he got older

But he was consumed with hate now for this neighbor

And everyday he was ashamed when he saw himself

Blocked out the memory of the pain so he'd never feel
He tried to forget the pain so he wouldn't feel it again

He'd pretend to be okay and hide in his shell

He'd try to put a smile on his face like all was well

But this child couldn't change what he really felt

He blamed God for the cards that he was dealt
He felt that God was responsible for what had happened to him

His heart grew hard by the time he was twelve
His heart became hardened by the time he turned twelve

Began to fall apart and his grades start to fail
He started to break down and his grades began to decline

Until the day he cried to God asking for His help
One day he cried out to God for help

He wanted to find and start a new life for himself
He wanted to begin a new life for himself

He closed his eyes and into the arms of Christ he fell
He closed his eyes and found peace in the love of God

Everything you heard the boy would never speak
The boy had never spoken about what he had been through

He held it all inside until he turned fifteen
He kept everything inside until he was fifteen

I know that might be hard for you to believe

But he couldn't talk about it until God set me free

See way back when he was seven years old

He was sexually abused but no one was ever told

With nowhere to turn and no place to go

See he thought he could get through and maintain control
He thought he could handle it on his own and keep control

But little did he know he couldn't make it on his own
He didn't realize that he couldn't do it on his own

That was when God came to help him

God promised that He would never leave or abandon him

And You taught him to forgive and gave peace to his soul
God helped him find forgiveness and peace

And now he truly lives cause You made him whole
He now lives a fulfilling life because God made him complete
