The band consists of the members:
Kasper Eistrup (vocals & guitar)
Mads Tunebjerg (bass)
Asger Techau (drums)
Henrik Lindstrand (keyboards & guitar).
Their earlier albums were musically in the vein of Primus and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, but with their third full length album their style changed dramatically to be influenced by Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, a style often characterised by newcomers as in the same veins as Coldplay, however Kashmir has in Kasper Eistrup, an original text writer and singer, who can hardly be summarized as anything close to Chris Martin.
To this date, the band have released seven full length albums. Their latest, E.A.R. (2013). With the release of NBP, the band yet again changed direction musically to be inspired by artists such as Sonic Youth and other noise rockers.
It should be noted that there also was a Swiss band with the same name which was active between 1979 and 1982. Consisting of keyboarder Patrice Guenat and singer Henry Dubelly, they produced two albums that range between synthesizer pop and neo-progressive genres.
Another danish band in the 70s was also called Kashmir or more correctly "Jørgen Thomsen & Kashmir", but due to Spotify (Kashmir, Jørgen Thomsen tag) they will scrobble as Kashmir, despite being a backing band at least on the 1972 record they recorded:
Jørgen Thomsen was backed by prominent musicains in "Kashmir": Nils Tuxen (Savage Rose, Flemming Hansen (bass), Ken Gudman at drums and Carl Åge Isaksen on piano.

The band consist of Bilal Ali (vocalist), Vais Khan (lead guitarist), Usman Siddiqui (bass guitarist), Shane J. Anthoney (drummer), Zair Zaki (rhythm guitarist), and Ali Raza (keyboardist).

The first stanza of "06 Miss You" by Kashmir describes a feeling of distance between two people in a relationship. The singer speaks of a "shark deep down under", which could represent the deep emotions and hidden parts of a person that are difficult to access. The singer tries to call out to this person, but the "dark waters between us" prevent any connection from being made. This could also represent the obstacles that a relationship may face, such as misunderstandings or miscommunication. The image of "surfing on the surface" with "fingers in the water" suggests a sense of longing and reaching out towards someone, but not being able to make a deeper connection.
In the second stanza, the singer describes how even though the person is physically present, there still seems to be a distance between them. The phrase "interest in meat" could be interpreted in a few different ways. It could mean that the person has lost their appetite for life or for their relationship, or it could be a metaphor for something else that the singer feels the person has lost interest in. Despite this distance, the singer still misses the person and hopes that they are doing well. The line "whatever's in your way" suggests that there may be external obstacles that are preventing the two from being closer.
The third stanza seems to shift focus to the dynamic between the two individuals. The singer describes themselves as a "patient one" among "indulgent sailors", suggesting that they are more reserved and thoughtful compared to others. The person they are speaking to is described as a "muse" who is "involved with the fingers in your hair", which could suggest a creative or artistic type. Despite their differences, the singer still misses the person deeply.
Overall, "06 Miss You" is a song about distance and longing in a relationship.
