Prior to being a recording artist, he was a record store owner and a club DJ at a nightclub in Salt Lake City as a way to make ends meet for him and his wife. After he and his wife moved to San Francisco he landed a job as a A&R man at OM records, where in addition to reviewing demos for the label he also submitted his own material, which would pay off big time for him. In 2001 he went from behind the desk to behind the turntables and the recording studio as an artist in his own right. In 2003 Kaskade released his first album, "It's You It's Me", which was well received by critics.
It would be his follow up, "In The Moment" in 2004, that would put Kaskade on the map. The first single off the set "Steppin' Out" would become a major hit on the Dance Radio Airplay that year as well as a top 10 hit on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. His biggest breakthrough would come the week of May 14, 2005, when his follow up, "Everything," would go all the way to #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

Kaskade Lyrics

Carry the weight of the storm
And we hope to be whole
Buried where memories are born
We don't stop
We don't stop for no one
We won't break
We don't stop
We don't stop for no one
We won't break
The world won't wait for you
We hold who we are
Carry the weight of the storm
We were born to be Gods
Chasing the light that we are
We don't stop
We don't stop for no one
We won't break
The world won't wait for you
We don't stop
We don't stop for no one
We won't break
The world won't wait for you
We don't stop
We don't stop for no one
We won't break
The world won't wait for you
We don't stop
We don't stop for no one
We won't break
The world won't wait for you
The lyrics of Kaskade's "Don't Stop Kissing" express a message of perseverance and determination to keep going despite the obstacles that one may encounter on one's journey. The first stanza speaks about the idea that we hold onto who we are and keep going despite the storm that we bear. The weight of the storm here can be interpreted metaphorically as the challenges and difficulties that we face in our lives. The lyrics tell us that we have the ability to overcome them and carry on despite them.
The second stanza emphasizes the idea of chasing our dreams and not stopping for anyone. We have to keep pushing ourselves to be better and not give up no matter what roadblocks we face. It talks about how we are born to be Gods, chasing the light that we are, which further emphasizes the idea of how we all have a divine purpose, and we should not let anything make us stop chasing that.
The chorus repeats the same lines, "We don't stop for no one. We won't break. The world won't wait for you." These lines have a deep meaning that one should never stop pursuing their dreams and goals, no matter how hard the journey gets. The world won't wait for anyone, so it's up to you to keep going and pursuing your purpose.
Overall, the song is an inspiring reminder to keep moving forward and not let anything hinder our progress. The lyrics tell us not to give up, to keep going despite the challenges, and to chase our dreams no matter what.

This album, Atmosphere, and a few others were a big part of my childhood. I remember my sister playing these on our drives, and it was such a free feeling.. I still listen to these songs a lot because they are so comforting!! Yes.. late night drives falling asleep.. or driving on the Pacific coast. Thank you Kaskade for everything!! These memories I hold very close :) 💙☀️

I was looking for a Kaskade song that had been stuck on the edge of my memory, and when it started I was like, "This isn't it," but I waited, and then the vocals came in and the bass dropped, and it was it. I love this song. Just got the sound so perfect.

How Kaskade is not plastered on every billboard and on every radio station is beyond me. This guy is modern Mozart and no one knows it. I weep for humanity.
