Mark and DJ's roots are in R&B, hip hop and gospel having played within the same gospel band for years. Both professional musicians, Mark began teaching Laura how to play bass in the summer of 2009. As such, Laura quickly developed a huge passion for the instrument and the aesthetic it brought to music she loved. Having worked studiously on developing her skills, both Mark and Laura were invited to tour with Ninja Tune's YPPAH supporting Bonobo across his 2010 American tour. The tour galvanised the two of them to start making music together more seriously, sowing the first seeds of Khruangbin, with DJ the natural go to for drums. Having kept in touch, Bonobo included Khruangbin's 'A Calf Born In Winter' on his 2013 'Late Night Tales' compilation. In addition to increasing the Stateside following the band has built, the release has helped Khruangbin in topping both the US & UK 'Last FM' fastest growing artists whilst 'A Calf Born In Winter' continues to be one of the most popular single downloads from the compilation.

From laughing
I'll go
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
Hearts will
I'll go
With you
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
We're all in this world
Promises won't last
If there is no answer
Broken
And perfect
I'll go
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
The glass
Will shatter
I'll go
With you
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
We're all in this world
Promises won't last
If there is no question
Oh
Oh
Oh
Broken
Can't laugh at
I'll go
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
The glass
Will shatter
I'll go
With you
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're wild
But you're not crazy
You're not crazy
You're not crazy
The lyrics of "If There is No Question" by Khruangbin and Soul Clap touch on the themes of companionship and the inevitability of heartbreak, alluding to the idea that life is full of uncertainties, and that one must be prepared to face them head-on. The song starts by describing a moment when the singer and someone else were laughing so much that they cried. From this point forward, the song is focused on this other person, with the singer reassuring them that they are not crazy. Later, the lyrics go on to say that hearts will get broken, but the singer promises to be there for this person, even if things get difficult. The repeated refrain of "You're not crazy, you're wild" suggests that the person being addressed may be struggling with mental health issues or simply feeling out of control in their life. The line "we're all in this world" further emphasizes the idea that everyone struggles in their own way, even if it looks different from the outside.
As the song progresses, the lyrics repeatedly refer to the idea of things breaking: hearts will get broken, promises won't last, and the glass will shatter. This gives the feeling that life is fragile and unpredictable, and that one must be prepared for things to fall apart. However, despite these challenges, the singer promises to go through it all with this other person, even if it means facing difficulties and uncertainty. The final lines of the song suggest that the most important thing is to keep questioning and seeking answers, even if they are elusive.
Overall, the lyrics of "If There is No Question" encourage the listener to face life's uncertainties with bravery and a willingness to take risks, even if things don't always go as planned.

This is my Love Song to myself. Everything they say expresses me, myself and I at some point in my life. It helps me accept my flaws and mistakes. It gives me confidence. It assures me to trust me, my thoughts and intentions. It makes me love me even more. This band has no idea how influential they are in our lives!!

This band just keeps surprising me with their amazing talent. I absolutely love their unique style. Each one of their songs hits me on an emotional level with positive feelings of nostalgia and homely-ness. So glad i found these peeps.

This song is a great song to sum up my 8th-grade school year (that I will end in May) as I learn to heal from past traumatic events, learn to find compassion for both myself and the people around me, & learn to find and accept myself for who I am and not care so much about what others think of me.
I'm broken, yet perfect. I'm broken, but laughing. I'm wild, but I'm not crazy.
