Precious on drums. After two shows, Les left the band, and a year later, Robert X Planet became a part of the group as keyboardist. Dash Assault married Les a Go Go in 1983 and left the band, and Dale “B. Sari” Smith took his place in the band as bassist. .... Notorious for its onstage theatrics and costuming, the group is best known for the songs, Teenage Enema Nurses (in Bondage), which was released in EP 1982, followed by Pepperoni Ice Cream, a song inspired by the extreme body odor of an ex of Gary Russel’s. .... Though the band never officially broke up, their last performance took place in 1991 in Tempe at the Valley Art Theater. Dale “B. Sari” Smith and Robert Planet still reside in the Phoenix area, and Lucy LaMode lives in Austin Texas with her family and has been involved in theater and acting for over 20 years. Robert X Planet has been a calendar editor and is currently a drama critic for the Phoenix New Times as well as being involved in design, directing, and acting in local theater productions. Dale Smith is a part of the group Ally and the Pinheadz. John Vivier (John R. Precious) passed away in 1983 shortly after recording with the band on the album Bikini Wax. Vanya Hautamauki, who replaced John as drummer, is currently a part of the blues band the Rocket 88s based out of Phoenix. Ricardo Aguilar, who played with the band on songs such as “Moist Towlette” and “Boys,” is now in the Phoenix jazz/punk band Booby Trap. .... My brother, Gary Russell, wrote Pocket Pool. He was the guitar player and sang on several songs. His Scottsdale High School buddy, Scott Campbell, moved to L.A. from Arizona and became a very well known late night DJ on KROQ. He gave Killer Pussy's "Teenage Enema Nurses in Bondage" lots and lots of air play! They were an underground hit! Brett Easton Ellis mentions them in his book, "Less than Zero" and one of their songs played in the movie of the same book.

When i hear this album..i REALLY laugh at how ahead of its time the lyrics were on this album...especially interpreted by a female vocalist and the lyrics being "upfront" when it was almost a disney-esque era in certain parts of the country/cities..VERY original well thought lyrics unlike most stuff churned out today....this has to be up there with the zanyness of nina hagen/lene lovich/devo/the mentors..oh kroq new wave...where art tho?
