All Who Are Thirsty
Kutless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All who are weak
Come to the fountain
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
In the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep (we sing)
Come Lord Jesus come
The song "All Who Are Thirsty" by Kutless is a call to all who are spiritually thirsty and weak to come to God, who is compared to a fountain of living water. The invitation is open to all who are seeking relief from the pain and sorrow of life. The lyrics suggest that by dipping one's heart in the stream of life, one can experience the waves of God's mercy, which will wash away the pain and the sorrow.
The phrase "as deep cries out to deep" implies that the desire for connection with God runs deep in the human heart, just as the depths of the ocean call out to each other. The song ends with a plea for Jesus to come, which may indicate a longing for spiritual awakening or renewal.
