Born and raised in Melbourne, Minogue first achieved recognition starring in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, playing tomboy mechanic Charlene Robinson. She gained prominence as a recording artist in the late 1980s and released four bubblegum and dance-pop-influenced studio albums produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. By the early 1990s, she had amassed several top ten singles in the UK and Australia, including "I Should Be So Lucky", "The Loco-Motion", "Hand on Your Heart", and "Better the Devil You Know". Taking more creative control over her music, Minogue signed with Deconstruction Records in 1993 and released Kylie Minogue (1994) and Impossible Princess (1997), both of which received positive reviews. She returned to mainstream dance-oriented music with 2000's Light Years, including the number-one hits "Spinning Around" and "On a Night Like This". The follow-up, Fever (2001), was an international breakthrough for Minogue, becoming her best-selling album to date. Two of its singles, "Love at First Sight" and "In Your Eyes", became hits, but its lead single, "Can't Get You Out of My Head" became one of the most successful singles of the 2000s, selling over five million units.
Minogue continued reinventing her image and experimenting with a range of genres on her subsequent albums, which spawned successful singles such as "Slow", "2 Hearts", "All the Lovers", "Santa Baby", "Timebomb" and "Dancing". With her 2020 album DISCO, she became the first female artist to have a chart-topping album in the UK for five consecutive decades. Minogue made her film debut in The Delinquents (1989) and portrayed Cammy in Street Fighter (1994). She has also appeared in the films Moulin Rouge! (2001), Jack & Diane, Holy Motors (2012) and San Andreas (2015). In 2014, she appeared as a judge on the third series of The Voice UK and The Voice Australia. Her other ventures include product endorsements, children's books, fashion, and charitable work.
Minogue was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2008 New Year Honours for services to music. She was appointed by the French government as a Chevalier (knight) of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for her contribution to the enrichment of French culture. In 2005, while Minogue was on tour, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Health Science (D.H.Sc.) degree by Anglia Ruskin University in 2011 for her work in raising awareness for breast cancer. At the 2011 ARIA Music Awards, she was inducted by the Australian Recording Industry Association into the ARIA Hall of Fame. She was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2019 Australia Day Honours.

Ninety-nine lives, Super Mario
Wanna be with you and spend 'em all
I got a ticket to ride
Call it what you like
Call it what you say
Call it intuition, love is heading our way
Call it what you may
But you know when you get it right
All aboard my love train
I can take you to the moon in the fast lane
I need a passenger, baby, don't wait
Yeah, you better buckle up, it's a beautiful view
All aboard my love train
I can take you to the moon in the fast lane
I need a passenger, baby, don't wait
Yeah, you better buckle up, it's a beautiful view
Ooh-ooh-ooh
La-la-la-la-la
Ooh-ooh

Ooh-ooh-ooh
La-la-la-la-la
Ooh-ooh
La-la-la-la-la
Pack your bags, this ain't no fun alone
Turn the heat up, you don't need no coat
Million mile high, international
Let me show you what's on my mind
Call it what you like
Call it what you say
Call it intuition, love is heading our way
Call it what you want
Call it what you may
But you know when you get it right
All aboard my love train
I can take you to the moon in the fast lane
I need a passenger, baby, don't wait
Yeah, you better buckle up, it's a beautiful view

In the first verse, Kylie Minogue sets the scene by describing signs hanging on the wall. These signs potentially serve as reminders or indications of the different experiences and challenges one faces in life ("Ninety-nine lives, Super Mario"). She expresses her desire to be with someone and spend all those lives together, likening it to a ticket to ride. This suggests that she wants to embark on a journey with this person and explore the different aspects of life together.
The chorus focuses on the idea of love and the various ways it can be described or perceived. She invites the listener to call love whatever they want or say, suggesting it's open to interpretation. She believes that love is something that can be sensed or felt intuitively, and it is heading their way. Despite its intangible nature, she emphasizes the importance of getting it right. It's a beautiful view when love aligns perfectly between two people.
The repetition of the chorus in the second verse reinforces the theme of love and the excitement associated with it. Kylie Minogue uses the metaphor of a love train to symbolize the journey of love. This train can take them to new heights and places, specifically mentioning the moon in the fast lane. She acknowledges that love is not meant to be experienced alone and urges the listener to be her passenger. By emphasizing the need to buckle up, she implies that love can be an intense and exhilarating ride, but one that is worthwhile for the beautiful view it offers.
The repetitive outro serves as a joyful reaffirmation of the previous lyrics. The "ooh-ooh" and "la-la-la" sounds create a playful and celebratory atmosphere, further enhancing the theme of love and the excitement surrounding it. Overall, "Love Train" celebrates the joy and anticipation of love, highlighting the transformative power it can have in our lives.

This is absolutely my favorite song on the album. I have had this on loop for hours and just love it! To all those folks on other song comment sections saying they dislike this, how?? It's so catchy and fun! It's like if the song Fever met The Locomotion with a little synth in the mix. It's just so fun! Thank you, Kylie for always making me smile with the bonus tracks! <3 :D
