In an interview with Spill Magazine, Laffey candidly shared his personal struggle with anxiety and how lo-fi music has been an essential tool for relaxation and calming. He believes that music can be an escape, offering solace and respite in a hectic world.

Driven by the desire to create a space of escape and serenity, Laffey's music caters to various needs, including productivity, sleep, anxiety relief, and relaxation. His distinct blend of impeccable guitar and piano skills with clean production and minimal beats allows him to craft the perfect atmosphere for his listeners.

On July 24, 2018, Laffey made his initial mark on the music scene by uploading his first track titled "clouds." on Soundcloud.

Subsequently, he released his debut album, "Ten," on August 3, 2018. It was followed by his sophomore album, "Looking at the Sky," featuring Brooker Hemmings, on September 7, 2018.

On February 1, 2019, Laffey released his third album, "Clouded".

Laffey's music exudes a cohesive and mood-setting quality, offering soothing and tranquil compositions that evoke a sense of peace and healing.
