Have You Seen Me?
Last Tuesday Lyrics

I will mislead, You won't get the truth
You'll get the me You'd want with you
Have you seen me, and what I want to be
Did anybody call, did anyone at all
As where I was, did you tell them it's because I've been here so long,
and now I'm moving on
And I see what you need, see what you see
No need to stay another day
I'm on the edge I'm falling, running from you
And I do regret what I was willing to do
The lyrics to Last Tuesday's song "Have You Seen Me?" are about a relationship that is coming to an end. The singer is aware that their partner needs something different from what they are offering, and they are willing to be misleading in order to keep the person with them. The singer is aware that they are not the person their partner wants to be with, but they are still holding onto hope that they can make the person happy. The line "You'll get the me You'd want with you" shows that the singer is willing to put on a façade to keep the person with them.
The chorus of the song is a cry for help, as the singer is wondering if anyone has noticed that they're struggling. They're asking if anyone has tried to find them or ask how they're doing since they've been stuck in this relationship for so long. The singer seemingly wants to move on from the relationship, but they're afraid of being alone. They feel as if they've been trapped for so long that they don't know how to navigate life without their partner.
The last verse of the song is the singer finally realizing that they need to let go of their partner and move on. They acknowledge that what their partner needs is not them, and they tell them to leave. The line "I'm on the edge I'm falling, running from you" shows how the singer is feeling as if they're about to break down and they're trying to get away from their partner before they do. The final line "And I do regret what I was willing to do" is the singer acknowledging that they were willing to do anything to keep their partner, but they now realize that it wasn't worth it.

Coming down memory lane, it's almost 10 years ago.

All these years later I still stop in on an occasional bout of nostalgia. These guys kicked ass live. Really miss them.
@CameraCollector3890
Found this song on a mixtape I recorded from the radio sometime between 2005 and '07 (yeah, i was still doing cassette tapes in the mid 2000s) and came by to reminisce. Good stuff.

Many many years ago I toured with a band called the new ending. We toured with these dudes. And a band called staple. Carl wore the same clothes the entire tour. A few years later I saw tank playing with some super heavy band touring with mayleen and the sons of disaster. 15 years ago. Whoa.

Super freaking random. But I just went down memory lane looking this band up. And reading this comment I remember my oldest brother introducing me to Staple because he saw them on a tour with Last Tuesday. I would not be surprised if he saw your band as well.
@1andonly1
Saw them at Purple Door in high school
