i worked in restaurant supply and food delivery in DFW while in college from 1992 to 1997. I had weekly deliveries to the Dallas Jail using that same ramp that they show in this video. On timestamp 1:42:08 - notice that he walks down the ramp as he is trying to recreate the route that Jack Ruby took and the time it took him from western union to the back door of the jail where Ruby shot Oswald.

I can attest, truthfully, that it was EASY and ACHIEVEABLE to walk to the back door of the jail down that ramp because I did it in a delivery truck once a week for years without assistance from police or anyone else. That gate u see on that ramp was never closed during any of the times that I delivered, which was usually early morning around 9 AM ish.

So, what I am saying, is this. Conspiracy people who say that Jack Ruby must have been given some special access to the place where he shot Oswald are COMPLETELY WRONG. And, they do this because they have never been there in person.

Jack Ruby could have easily just walked right into the bottom basement area of the jail in Dallas because it is blocked off from the rest of the jail by doors that are locked inside the basement. But, the lower area is really just a garage area where people park their cars. This area is where Oswald was shot as he was being put into an awaiting car that was merely feet from where he was shot. Getting into the REAL PART OF THE JAIL requires either keys or badges or to get someone to open the door that leads into the jail. During my delivery times, there was a callbox there that i would have to use at the door in order to get someone to open it for me so I could use my dolly/handcart to deliver the food/restaurant supplies to the jail area.

Once in the jail, using the lower garage door, there is still no access to the rest of the jail unless u use the service elevator to go up. That also requires a key. So, the idea that the Dallas jail is easily accessible to anyone off the streets is FALSE and misleading in the Jack Ruby situation.

ONE: Oswald was shot by Jack Ruby in the basement outside the jail (not IN the jail. He was led out the jail by police/detectives while he was handcuffed), after he was lowered down in the service elevator and escorted out the bottom floor door and into the publicly accessed garage area of the basement (where a car would be waiting to drive him to wherever the detectives/police where taking him that day).

TWO: The length of the ramp that goes down into the basement/garage area is not very long...maybe 50 to 80 feet and the ramp curves to the right at the bottom after the area where the jail door sits (the basement/garage jail door is old and very thick like it's bulletproof and requires a key to open it) . The ramp levels out there and the road/ramp curves to the right (if you were to park in the basement, you would continue in your car to the right). The door is adjacent to the road/ramp at the curve and on the left as u walk down.

I am Saying, it is less than a few seconds to walk down the ramp and go left and be at the door where Oswald was shot. It would take someone only seconds to walk from the outside street, down the ramp, and be face to face with that door. And, as I said, there is a gate at the top of the ramp at the sidewalk/street area, but it is never closed that I have ever seen. There is a chain that has to be pulled on the left side of the ramp entrance which lowers or raises that gate (similar to what you see in a semi-truck delivery bay in a warehouse) and it disappears into the top when fully open.

I assume that this gate on the street leading into the ramp area was locked at night or overnight, but I was never there at those times. So, YES, the public had access to the ramp and lower basement/parking area of the jail. you could drive into it, or you could walk down the ramp as well. the lower garage area would only be inaccessible from the public if the gate was closed and locked using the chains and applying a pad lock. It closes similar to what you see in NYC shops that face the street...like a shutter door that rolls up and down and closes and has an area to be locked if you use a padlock on the chain to keep it from moving.

At time stamp 1:43:30 u can see the service elevator and how people gain access to it. I have walked through those halls (right where they are) hundreds of times. And, that counter there is almost always vacant. It had personnel/people working in it during the time of Oswald's being escorted out because it was such a big event going on in the Dallas Jail. Most of the time, that area is completely vacant with no one in it. It's really just a storage area and is closed off from the rest of the jail.

One last thing: People who aren't from Texas or don't live in the USA might not realize...in Texas, it used to be completely legal to have a gun, carry a gun, buy a gun, and shoot a gun in the 1960s. I grew up from 1970 to 1997 in Texas. Owning guns in Texas is not an uncommon situation (especially in the rural areas for hunting, etc.) Having grown up here, I would say that maybe 40 to 50 percent of the citizens of Texas own a gun, maybe more. And, at least 5% of Texans are fervent gun owners with a lot of guns and use them frequently to do various things (gun range, hunting, etc.)

1) Was there more than 3 rifle shots at JFK,?
2) If the answer to # 1 Q above is YES, we have met the FULL requirement of a Conspiracy to assassinate the POTUS.

I am only going to go over this once, so don't badger me.

A) The 1st shot MISSES JFK and Gov. Connally. You can see JFK looking stunned but not yet hit. Girl running beside motorcade car w/ dignitaries stops running and TURNS towards the grassy knoll. No more info about this, yet.

B) 2nd shot goes through JFKs neck, through the back and the front. Connally is also hit, and it REMAINS possible that the 4th shot hits Connally.

C) 5th shot hits James Teague under the overpass ramp. No dispute about Teague's slight injury via that bullet. The only Question regarding this bullet is which number shot this is and the PROJECTORY of where that bullet was fired from.

D) The 6th shot blows JFK'S head out. Back and to the left.

E) There ARE reports of a 7th shot that missed two seconds after the shot described above.

Just STOP with the BS that Oswald acted alone. He clearly did not. THAT alone should have led LJB, the CIA. the FBI, the DOJ, the Mafia connectors ALL in prison. People refuse to see that JFK wanted to pull the Advisors out of Vietnam. JFK was a DINO.... a Democrat in Name only. A far better POTUS than he ever got credit for.
His top 3 CIA people, Dulles, Cabal and Bissell LIED to JFK re: Bay of Pigs 1961 and JFK FIRED ALL THREE OF THEIR Commie asses on-the-spot. Honestly the fact that Oswald was fairly well known in ways and his life documented before the assassination is such an eye-opener. I had never looked into it, so from superficial knowledge of the events I was under the impression that not much was known about Oswald’s life before his life crossed paths with Kennedy. Ruby alluded to powerful people who put him up to assassinating Oswald or forced him to and that the details would never be known. It's in a press conference. All my adult life I believed that, perhaps Oswald was not even involved. After seeing this, I now think he was a ready and willing tool used by one of more of a cast of characters who stand to gain from Kennedys death. Kennedy had a very long list of enimies. I never understood why Kennedy would enlist the support of The Mob, especially the Chicago Mob, to barely get him elected, and then let Bobby not only go after the, but insult and embarress them on radio and TV. It is so heartfelt to see President Kennedy shake hands with citizens during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Oswald lived in an apartment in New Orleans, and tried to get a job at Tulane. I theorized it's not impossible that Dr. Mary Sherman was commissioned by the Kennedy Administration based on some intelligence Kennedy received from my father, but I don't know the date when he disclosed the information about Oswald. It didn't sound genuine in 1963 when my father said he was sorry but he thought the President would know who Oswald was. Even though they hit it off very well, the President acted like my father named his daughter Tatyana Lee as if to clandestinely come to his attention. THE ISSUE WAS THAT KENNEDY GOT A NEGATIVE INSTEAD OF A CONSTRUCTIVE SLANT ABOUT MY FATHER, THE SAME AS ME NOW.

@El Jerc No, you have no idea of what happens after such trauma. I witnessed an awful event. I was standing nearby. some people were screaming, but a lot of US just calmly walked ran to safety. We were in shock, but our reaction appeared to be calm. Days later, the reality hit me and I lost it. I was given sedatives to calm my terror, as was Jackie. One thing I took from that and a couple of less severe incidents, is that I remain calm during emergencies. My therapist taught me to celebrate that.

Having thought about the head wound as described by Dr.McClelland and looked at the layout of Dealey Plaza, I think it's conceivable that the fatal head shot may have come from the parking lot on the south side of Commerce street. Further away than the book depository and the picket fence but in my opinion the ballistics make more sense. According to Dr. McClelland (the video is or certainly was on YT) the right-rear of the head above and behind the right ear was blown out with the bullet entering at or just above the hair line. Dr. McClelland did not specify which side of the front of the head the bullet entered. A shot from the right (picket fence) would blow out the left side of JFK's head spraying Jackie and a shot from directly in front would blow out the rear central part of the head. A shot from directly in front would have to mean from on top of the triple underpass and there were witnesses on there.
A shot from the front left would blow out the right-rear of the head and the front left is where the parking lot on the south side of commerce street is. Just a thought

Please tell me what you see there in relation to the direction of JFK's head movement and the blood splatter in that Crucial 1/9th of a second.

Dr. McClelland at Parkland observed the huge exit wound to the BACK of the head from about 18 inches. His testimony is on youtube. An EXIT wound at the back of the head was not possible from the TSBD. Only possible for the front 180 degrees. But I doubt you'll bother so never mind.

Autopsy shows the shots all came from behind.
Connally's said the shots all came from behind.
Witnesses under the sixth floor window said the shots all came from overhead.
Nobody would ever assume they would frame this on a lone shooter while firing away from multiple directions.

One thing left unexplored: if Oswald was to be transferred to County Jail at 10AM why wasnt Ruby there at 10AM but rather took his time to get to Dallas police jail arriving nearly an hour and half later at the near exact time Oswald was finally taken out to begin that transfer which is when Ruby shot Oswald?? Ruby must have been tipped off by someone that the transfer was delayed but even then how would Ruby know when to show? If transfer was delayed by 20 or 40 or 60 minutes Ruby would have missed his last chance to shoot Oswald arriving at the time he did at the police jail.... It would seem then that the transfer was on hold until Ruby showed up?? Maybe that car honking just before they led Oswald out was the signal that Ruby was there and ready with gun?? The man who shot 'Oswald' was not Jack Ruby. Watch the video in slow motion; you never see the shooters face, and then he was surrounded by plain clothes 'officers' and taken into the police station. All cameras and video films were confiscated as evidence, but were not entered into evidence at trial. In relations to timestamp — 06:58 —Somehow someone I know has been isolated socially for years now through a character assassination in part to steal an opportunity of a real good paying career. The current resulting problem is the opportunity for others to possibly frame the person isolated in a domestic terrorist attack, as they would fit a typical FBI profile for domestic terrorism. This is the first time I've seen a detailed story of Oswald's entire life. He really was a goofy rudderless person who seemed to thirst after greatness - He was against Castro, he was for Castro, he wanted to live in the USSR, he wanted to leave, and so on. He was so unpredictable I have to wonder - Who among Kennedy's many enemies would enlist such a goofball to be the shooter? If enlisted in such a plan, he could very well go straight to the secret service and say that an awful bunch of people want to kill Kennedy and only he could stop it. @Horror yes. There was a similar situation on Cuba with the Russian nuclear weapons there: the Russians were afraid that Castro would convince the local commanders to launch without authority. He almost did, as a matter of fact.

The Soviets trained Oswald but were not crazy enough to tell him to shoot JFK - however Castro was motivated to support this act, if not out of simple self defense then to end the dirty secret war against Cuba 🏳️
Oswald was known to admire Castro highly.

I have two theories, and neither indicates Oswald was innocent. Having been tailed by intelligence for years, they let him have a go at it to maintain plausible deniablility. Or there could have been two seperate gunmen unbeknownst to each other. Oswald could have fired three shots, missing the first as the little girl in zapruder film turning to look for the noise, and the sidewalk richochet could prove. Meaning the final and 4th kill shot could have been from someone making sure Oswald didn't miss. That could be mafia or cia, or just another dude angry with Kennedy doesn't necessarily mean conspiracy unless CIA was involved. And let's be honest, the history of the intelligence agencies in America have never had a clean record and have been proven to have worked with the mob in other instances. So a little truth from all theories could be possible here, which would be more embarassing for the State seeing how 3 individual plots could have taken place. But the simplest solution with the least amount of people involved is that the intelligence agencies let Oswald have his chance. Angola, Nicaragua, Chile, Laos and Vietnam...cannot tell me intelligence agencies are guilty in every instance, but not this.

it amazes me how people are so quick to actually thank the program Frontline for proving Oswald acted alone...it is very cleverly done. The documentary throws evidence of connections with organized crime right in the face, then at the end it's....leave it to rest...even if the words spoken are by someone else. Well that window of the book depository is now part of a museum and like thousands of others I’ve stood there and looked down. I’ve never even held a gun of any kind but looking out from that window it did not look difficult to hit someone being driven slowly along that road below, even three shots. I watched it on live TV also when Oswald was shot. I was 8 years old. We had an extra week off of school to morn the death of our President. It was a very sad week for everyone.

Nobody ever points out that Oswald looked like a man in his mid to late thirties. He had a receding hairline and the hair he had was thinning. Additionally he had weathered facial features especially under his eyes and jaw line There was also the fact that, right after the assassination, he held a full public press conference. For those who may be curious I sent an email to Frontline today to find out what was taken out of the original 1993 version for the 2013 version and WHY ? The 1993 version was nearly 3 hours, while the 2013 version less than 2 hours. I feel the 1993 version was far better, more in depth, more balanced and interesting, and investigated seriously and openly many more leads and avenues. Doubt they will reply but who knows --- will follow-up post either way. UPDATE --- I synced and viewed the 1993 vs. the 2013 version and posted what I could find was deleted at the bottom of this thread on March 9, 2022.

The fact that our understanding of the Kennedy assassination is so heavily tied to Oswald is a victory to the conspirators that made him a patsy. Years ago I saw a vcr tape ( before everybody had one in their home) of the assassination of Kennedy it was much different than the way they show it and it was transferred from 8 mm and had a guy that had worked for Kodak film explaining how it was authenticated by him as being original and uncut I remember he said that the pulleys on the film were what they should be for that year and much more

I’m so glad that condescending, self important Oswald isn’t here to see we’re still debating this, and people would actually believe his lies. It’s sad so many people take the side of this guy. I’ve read a lot on Oswald, and once you understand his personality, you can easily understand why he did it. He always thought he was the smartest man around and self important, he was determined everyone would know him one way or another. Not only was he dreadful personally, he was a stone cold murderer. Not to mention jfk, but he walked up to Tippit and put a bullet in his head while on the ground, and then tried to kill the first officer on him in the theater. Don’t defend this guy. I know in advance you will not believe any of this as your mind is made up -- Ruby and the cops (and nearly every other government agency) "conspired" to execute the poor patsy Lee Harvey Oswald. But since you asked and seem unable to look up the answers yourself there were at least 4 reasons Oswald was transferred later than expected.

-- Postal Inspector Harry Holmes requested time that morning to further question LHO concerning the rifle and gun he had ordered and the PO boxes he rented.
-- Secret Service inspector Thomas Kelley had more extensive questioning of LHO.
-- The initial armored truck was found to be too large to fit down the ramp and a smaller one was needed for Oswald's transfer.
-- Oswald had only a white t-shirt on during questioning, was asked if he wanted a sweater, various clothes were found and offered and he chose a black sweater to wear.

And as you know Jack Ruby sent his stripper Karen Bennett a $25 money order she had requested from Western Union timestamped at 11:17 a.m. Western Union was a block and a half from City Hall -- where Ruby killed Oswald at 11:21 am. P.S "The guy" handcuffed to Oswald is Detective James Leavelle.

And even if there was another gunman behind the grassy knoll, he had no possible connection to Oswald who fired the fatal shot. Both Det. Bentley and Officer Mcdonald have the same story. Claiming to have stopped Oswald from shooting by putting the web of his finger between the hammer and firing pin. This is impossible, also impossible to be a mis statement or some kind of mix up.
Bentley is the guy with the cigar bringing Oswald out of the theater.

tbh whether Oswald or another shooter, or both, they were great shots. I know it terrible, but it's impressive to hit a moving head sized target in a moving vehicle, at even 80 yards with the scopes available at the time.

Well Oswald trained at 200 and 300 yards and qualified in Marines as a Sharpshooter or Marksman - his rifle was resting on boxes and JFK moving very slowly directly away from his sitting position it was (unfortunately for the World) not a really difficult shot.

@@DanC-go9lc it was an incredibly tough shooting job with a bolt action rifle that was proned to jam, had not been cared for and he had probably never fired in his entire life if he ever fired it. the first shot, the closest and easiest shot misses everything, the two more difficult shots were the magic shots. the fbi did two tests with their sharpshooters with a closer target not moving and they all failed to duplicate the shooting job of oswald, 11 expert gun men took part in cbs 1967 mock shooting trial with a carcano, 45% of the tests failed to get 3 shots in 9 seconds or less, of the remaing 20 tests only 2 managed to duplicate the supposed shooting job of oswald, the guy with the best score became a WR critic claiming the shooting job was impossible, later in life he wrote that garbage book "mortal error". so you are entirely in error here, believe oswald did it or not this was an outstanding and difficult shooting job with the tools he had to work with. btw sharpshooter or marksman are just test score results, oswalds LAST rifle test he score a 191, 190 is a fail, he barely qualified at all as anything with a rifle, not surprising for a radio operator to not be great on the range.

@@simonjames1604 Since you know so much what is the exact standard distances Marines qualify at, what positions do they fire from, what was Oswald's score when he FIRST qualified (and no it was NOT 191 as I am sure you know). And would you agree anyone who even QUALIFIES as a Marksman or Sharpshooter in the Marines is already better than 98% of civilians ? The 88 yard shot shot has been easily duplicated dozens and dozens of times.

(A) Jim Garrison lied about everything from the parade route being changed to the three tramps not being ID'd to Oswald supposedly being photographed in the TSBD when that man was swiftly ID'd as Billie Lovelady, who came forward.
(B) His "case" against Clay Shaw collapsed like a house of cards when it got to the jury and he was condemned by the ABA for the most shameful prosecution in memory. Few of his witnesses he dared put on the stand, most of them were discredited by the defense and his star witnesses was so full of it when he went ahead and used him anyway one of his own investigators quit in disgust. He ruined an innocent man's life for his own glory and the whole sorry episode was fading into well-deserved obscurity before Oliver Stone decided to make up his own fictional Garrison for his fantasy of a movie.
(C) Among those Garrison publicly named as conspirators and part of the "cover-up" included the CIA, FBI, NASA, NBC, CBS, Newsweek, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, the John Birch Society, the telephone company, three governors (including Ronald Reagan), the Secret Service, the Thirteen State Regional Democratic Organization, Official Washington, President Johnson, the Chief Justice, Bobby Kennedy, Johnny Carson, the oil industry, neo-Nazis, the news media in general, lawyers defending people he suspected, conspiracy authors critical of him whose books were therefore written at the behest of the CIA, members of the White Russian Community, the Aerospace Industry, the Dallas Police Department and, of course, "the homosexuals."

@Werner Foerster Also, people who have never shot a bolt-action rifle don't understand how quickly you can put another round in and shoot it (yet another ignorant reason to ban "assault" rifles. I'm a crappy marksman but I could pull off 3 shots in the time Oswald did with my Mosin-Nagant rifle. He was using a scope and knew what he was doing.

For those who have actually BEEN to Dealey Plaza, did you also find it much smaller than you imagined (compared to photos and films), and a steeper slope on Elm St. ? That was my clear and distinct take-away. It is haunting -- to put it mildly. In Dealey Plaza it really does seem to always be November 22, 1963.

We stood with countless others, in Baltimore, waiting for the train that carried JFK’s casket and everyone was out along the route back to DC. Everyone wanted to pay their respects, it’s overwhelming now. Imagine how profound for a 5 year old, open, and just taking everything in (I have “a scary good memory”). I think it was the last if not only time that US citizens were ever that connected; and that’s really sad

@K T he said that he did not believe Oswald that it had curtains in it until he felt of it and he said it actually was curtains. And he had no reason to lie he didn't know Oswald for that long and he said if he killed the president he should be jailed for the rest of his life I don't believe those will shut it all I believe he was a Pepsi but this disproves that there was at least some conspiracy because someone had to bring the rifle to the building someone other than Oswald. He found it very difficult to bum rides to the corner store much less to his workplace on a non-work day.
