You were always wondering
Everyone is listening
Just listen to the sound it makes
It fixes all of your mistakes
You can't ignore you cannot fake
Close your eyes before it breaks
Never find the danger
No one's innocent
(No flesh shall be spared)
And all of this is history
Repair the damage we have made
Nothing else can bury me
Nothing else can set you free
I've got all my reasons
I've got all my actions
Breaking all the silence
After we lost everything
Erased by the light
Never find the danger
No one's innocent
(No flesh shall be spared)
The song "Caution" by Left Spine Down speaks to the idea of introspection and the need for change. The opening lines suggest that after a journey of self-discovery, one can no longer ignore or fake their true emotions. The idea of listening is emphasized throughout the song, reminding the listener that truly hearing oneself and others is key to understanding and growth.
The line "It fixes all of your mistakes" suggests that through this process of listening and introspection, one can begin to heal from past mistakes and regrets, becoming whole again. However, the chorus serves as a warning, implying that failure to listen and change can result in the "erasure" or destruction of one's sense of self and the world around them.
Throughout the song, there is a sense of urgency in finding a new way of being, one that is more authentic and honest. The lines "Repair the damage we have made/Nothing else can bury me/Nothing else can set you free" emphasize the importance of taking responsibility for past actions and redefining oneself for a better future.
Overall, "Caution" is a powerful call to action to be true to oneself and to listen deeply to others, for the sake of personal growth and the betterment of society as a whole.
