Left Spine Down Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Turn right around and go back home
Waiting to read between the lines
Is this the mistake I've become?
I'm trapped within this large glass case
So I can see your face
A head on collision
No room for apology
With you it's all I've got
Spinning across the floor
Not knowing when to stop
One by one true colors show
Spot their eyes from the front row
Won't ever take mine off you
Worth more than you'll ever know
Turn right around and go back home
This is the final exit
No room for the truth anymore
Just take the final exit
Perversions mine and mine alone
This is my final exit
Just break the key off at the door
Is this my only way out?
Is this my only way out?
The lyrics in the song Troubleshoot by Left Spine Down is a reflection of the confusion and uncertainty that we sometimes face in life. The opening line, "This can't be how the story ends" indicates a sense of disbelief that things have gone so wrong. The artist then suggests that we turn around and go back home, but it is unclear if this is meant to be taken literally or more as a metaphor for the safety and comfort of the familiar.
The artist uses imagery in the lyrics that describes feeling trapped and isolated, like being in a glass case, which further emphasizes the internal struggle they are experiencing. The idea of a "head-on collision" with no room for apology can be interpreted as the recklessness and impulsiveness that often leads to unforeseen consequences. The artist also mentions "spinning across the floor" which can be seen as a metaphor for being lost or unsure of which direction to take in life.
The message in the song appears to be that in order to find clarity and a way out of one's problems, one must remain true to oneself and not be swayed by the judgments and opinions of others. The artist suggests that we should focus on the people and experiences that matter most to us, even if that means making difficult choices.
