Loaded up on 44
A simple sucker wanting more
Fight the battle never win the war
Your freedom haunts me like a ghost
Your freedom's laughing in my face
Duck and cover
Buy it all drink it all take it all
For you
Bet you don't know what's in store
I'll watch the luck run out on you
You're running out of time
Don't waste another second
Duck and cover
Let me out of your stolen car
Get me out of this twisted dream
Can't stand another minute
Your freedom haunts me like a ghost
Your freedom's laughing in my face
Duck and cover
So sick of sitting here
Watching you get high on fear
Feed me your credit card
Feed me your credit lies
Deny it all and go for broke
I've had enough deny it all
Duck and cover
Let me out of your stolen car
Get me out of this twisted dream
Can't stand another minute
Your freedom haunts me like a ghost
Your freedom's laughing in my face
Duck and cover
Here lies the American Dream
Here lies hypocrisy
The greed is all you need
Your speed is all I need
Look at me I'm just like you
I'm addicted just like you
Duck and cover
Let me out of your stolen car
Get me out of this twisted dream
Can't stand another minute
Your freedom haunts me like a ghost
Your freedom's laughing in my face
Duck and cover
Let me out of your stolen car
Get me out of this twisted dream
Can't stand another minute
Your freedom haunts me like a ghost
Your freedom's laughing in my face
Duck and cover

All wrongs reversed
Left Spine Down's song "Stolen Car" is a critique of the American Dream and consumer culture. The lyrics are packed with references to addiction, greed, and denial. The opening lines set the tone for the song with the hope that the truth about consumer culture and the American Dream will never be told. The singer is loaded up on a .44 and wants more, but always ends up fighting and losing the battle. The freedom promised by consumer culture haunts the singer like a ghost that laughs in their face. They are always ducking and covering, trying to escape the consequences of their actions.
The verses are full of references to consumer culture, addiction, and denial. The singer is always buying, drinking, and taking everything they can get their hands on. They watch luck run out on others, knowing that they too are running out of time. They are sick of watching others get high on fear and feed them credit cards and lies. They deny their actions and go for broke, always ducking and covering to avoid the truth.
The chorus is a call to be let out of the twisted dream that is the American Dream. The singer can't stand another minute of the consumer culture and the addiction to freedom that it creates. The repeated "duck and cover" refrain is a call to action, a warning that denying the truth only leads to more pain.
