Por haberme esperado
Tuve que perderme pa'
Llegar hasta tu lado
Gracias a tus brazos doy
Por haberme alcanzado
Tuve que alejarme pa'
Gracias a tus manos doy
Por haberme aguantado
Tuve que quemarme
Pa'llegar hasta tu lado
In Lhasa's song Pa' Llegar a Tu Lado, the singer expresses her gratitude towards the person she loves for having waited for her. She acknowledges the hardships she had to endure to get to where they are now in their relationship. The first verse, "Gracias a tu cuerpo doy, por haberme esperado, tuve que perderme pa' llegar hasta tu lado," translates to "I thank your body for waiting for me, I had to get lost to get to your side." The singer is expressing her gratitude towards her loved one's body and presence for having waited for her. She had to lose herself, go through a journey, and face challenges to finally find and reach them. This could be a metaphor for the personal growth and struggles that one goes through in order to connect with their true love.
The second verse, "Gracias a tus brazos doy, por haberme alcanzado, tuve que alejarme pa' llegar hasta tu lado," translates to "I thank your arms for reaching out to me, I had to move away to get to your side." The singer is acknowledging the fact that sometimes one has to distance themselves in order to come closer to someone they love. This could be interpreted as the singer having had to leave behind toxic relationships or situations that didn't allow her to be herself, causing her to distance herself from her loved one. But eventually, with the help of her partner's arms, she got to where she is now.
Lastly, the third verse, "Gracias a tus manos doy, por haberme aguantado, tuve que quemarme pa'llegar hasta tu lado," translates to "I thank your hands for holding me down, I had to burn to get to your side." Here, the singer is acknowledging the pain and sacrifices she had to endure to be with her loved one. She thanks her partner's hands for holding her down and not letting her go, even when she was burning with the flames of passion or struggling through difficult times.
Overall, the song Pa' Llegar a Tu Lado is a beautiful expression of love and gratitude towards someone who has been patient and supportive of the singer through difficult times. The lyrics are a poetic and metaphoric representation of the journey that two people go through to connect with one another.
